i know it has been done before but it didnt work properly and oly with a few cards. so i think it would be useful to have a working filemanager to transfer your files between your 3ds sd card and your flashcards micro sd,

or example: you dumped some nds games via gm9 and want to copy it to your flascard to play them without removing your sd cards everytime.
or an easier b9s setup on virgin consoles (all needed files are on the flashcard and you copy it to your 3ds without a pc).

especially for new 3ds users it would be very usefull because the sd is under the backplate and you have to unscrew it everytime.

here are two links from the existing project:

https://github.com/ahezard/woodfilemanager/releases

https://github.com/ahezard/woodfilemanager

it should work with atleast the r4 gold rts and acekard 2i (maybe more if it is possible).

thanks in

We already have Doom but how about Doom 64?
Not the N64 version but the pc port.
Is that possible?

Edit: i saw a port on the original ds, so i have my doubts

Has there been any attempt to inject .NDS roms into official DSI games? Porting the 3DS' DSI emulator to a .CIA file could help to run DS games. That would be pretty neat.

Also, are there any good ebook readers that could read manga out there? I would love to read manga on my 3DS.

EDIT: Also, if someone could make a homebrew save editor for the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokemon VC games, that would be swell. Porting Pikasav and creating a gui on 3DS for it would probably be the best way to do it. I was able to edit my Gen 2 pokemon save.dat with it.

I would like to see a .bps file patcher. For smw rom hacks. I know there is a .ips file patcher but that one doesn't support .bps
Please?

I'm gonna be that guy and ask about N64 emulation. I'm not expecting it, and I know it's generally seen as impossible since the 3DS is too weak to support it, but the PSP had it in some capacity and isn't the 3DS more powerful?

I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but I'll put it here anyway. I have an idea for an userland exploit. Coaster Creator 3D. It's cheap, and has QR code importing. So... maybe? I know there is a lot more that goes into it than that, but it would be an interesting idea.

So I don't know how feasible this is, but I'd love to see a .swf player for 3ds. Mainly to run flash games, even if it is limited to lower res files (or if downscaling would help at all), I'd still really want it. I don't mean like built into the browser either, just an app/cia that runs swf files from the SD card.
Ideally you'd choose for the image to display on the top or bottom screen & use the touch screen as mouse clicks/drags. If the image is displayed on the top screen then the bottom screen would act as a trackpad, with the mouse cursor being visible on the top screen. The D-pad would be mapped to arrow keys and the rest of the buttons would be re-mappable to keyboard keys by the user per swf file.
The main reason I want this is to play hentai games & I figured no one would take the request of "go make some 3DS hentai games for me!"

I'd like to ask for a homebrew that allows changing the GBA Virtual Console control mappings. (for installable .CIA GBA games on o3DS)
I know things like this have been created before, but AFAIK none of them work within the Virtual Console, only within 3DS games themselves.

as for specifics, I'm playing Pokemon Emerald and want the controls from HG/SS. X for the Start button, and Y for Select.

Here's some links to projects that already work for 3DS titles, I'd imagine that it would only take some modification of one of these to make it work for the GBA VC.
https://github.com/Kazo/InputRedirection
https://github.com/mikahjc/ButtonSwap3DS
https://gbatemp.net/threads/wip-buttonswap3ds-remap-buttons-on-your-3ds.460891/

I've tried the button swap homebrew, and sadly it didn't work with GBA VC.

Thanks for reading :grog::nds:

What I'd like to see from the big names in this scene is an IDE for 3DS development, something akin to Android Studio or Xcode in that it specializes in development for a particular kind of device and provides support for GUI development alongside the main logic. It would bridge the gap between amateur developers and complex systems such as the 3DS API. It would allow for people learning the system to hit the ground running rather than downloading multiple libraries, figuring out which ones they need, and importing them to Visual Studio.

Now if there is something like this and I've missed it, I'd be glad to be directed towards it.

I recently read a thread about a 3DS N64 emulator and why it isn't possible. The reason being that emulation needs really much computing power and the differences in chips make it difficult too. I don't remember the threads name or link, but it was on gbatemp.

We need a version of FBI that can install CIAs without CFW (Non legit Cias btw)
Installation via CIA (regardless of whether legit or not) is a permission given only to certain apps (primarily eShop) when not using CFW. The only way to override that limitation is CFW, when using userland homebrew you are still limited to what functions you were allowed beforehand, just that they do not have to be performed by Nintendo apps.

Sorry dude, but if that were possible CFW wouldn't be so popular and we wouldn't have had people clamoring for new CFW installation methods every update.

I'd want a music app thats like 3ds sound but you can play recorded effects over music instead of having the music cut off when you goto sounds.

Maybe a Homebrew Manual. It's kind of like H&S Information, but you have to install it as a CIA, and it gives you helpful information about how to do use/install certain Homebrew apps.
