If it somehow was on 1.0 DO NOT UPDATE, 1.0 is the golden fw.
And if it was above 1.0 then do not update yet until something has been released, you can update now but can't go back later.
thanks ill take your advice, if it comes on anything lower than 3.0.0 ill just keep it in the box until something becomes viable

how do you run homebrew? pegaswitch or whatever since it need to connect to your network how do you connect your switch to your network and avoid an update while you patch into it over wifi , do you just have to unplug the ethernet cable from your modem to your router?

Disable automatic software updates and use update-blocking DNS

General question; I'm from the UK and if I was to buy a brand new Switch bundle or w/e what firmware would it come on? Just curious, not really up to date on switch scene atm. Thanks
It really depends where you buy it from, not so much of the country.

Idk, maybe Argos or Amazon? Not buying one at the moment but more so future references!

Amazon has started to ship 4.0.1 units so I wouldn't buy from there unless it's one of the older bundles. Get a splatoon 2 bundle from gamestop. There's a higher chance of getting an exploitable firmware in case xecuter doesn't deliver.

Unfortunately I'm not from the US and GameStop isn't an option here, although there is GAME stores

Will we always need to use a computer to launch homebrew, or will it, at some point, be completely launched on the switch(just like the 3ds)?

I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

If you can find enough for it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It certainly wasn't inexpensive it cost the same as a new car back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@K3Nv2, take into consideration how economy was back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why they listed inflation rates
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Sorry didnt read that part
