but isnt this little stupid? i mean thats like saying "yeah lets not release homebrew because then people can do the n64 or snes piracy", it's the same thing... kernel access would be used for lots of other things (including the custom themes maybe?) and maybe online and all sorts of very nice things.... maybe even custom lock screen... and custom hans romz...

yes but with the new executor exploit entrypoint for switch would not the 3.0.0 become as good as any other? since the team explicitely mentionned "firmware patches" it would appear the home menu will have the signature removed and this mean homebrew launcher on home menu so even 4.1.0 would be compatible with the homebrew launcher on home menu hence my question of if the 3.0.0 is any less good than other firmwares version now

Yeah 3.0 pretty much useless now. I laugh to people that bought 3.0 Switch just to sell it again and make some money, on eBay I saw some Switch at 700$ ahah good luck with that.

Maybe only 1.0 is useful if they made the emunand working.

this morning as i was browsing the net of consoles hacking as one usually does i spot this nice title of news: "the team xecutor has the b9s for switch".
This means that the switch is completely hacked and no possibilities for patching. That is very good.
BUT.
I WAITED 6 MONTHS AND LEFT MY SWITCH IN A COVER OF DUSTS AND THOUGHT 3.0.0 WAS TH EFIRMWARE FOR ROMZ AND DID NOT PLAY THE MARIO ODYSSEYS AND SPLATOONS2 FOR NOTHING??? please tell me thats not true

They didn't release kernel, because they don't want piracy.

You don't know crap yet. Maybe something easier gets released for 3.0.0. I'm sure tx will charge for their solution. I would recommend not to update yet if you don't have to because you never know where soft modding will end up
