NIS America announces upcoming press event

NISA-Press-Event-2018_01-04-18.jpg

Localization company NIS America will be hosting their yearly press event on February 9, 2018, where they plan to have "new announcements" and "special guests", throughout a livestream. It's not known nor rumored what they plan to reveal, but last year's event had announcements such as Ys VIII, RPG Maker Fes, Disgaea 5 Complete, and 9 other titles. Stay tuned, as GBAtemp will cover the conference when it goes live next month.

how, they pretty much got the most weeb friendly localization team in the industry
Their current team is pretty bad. They recently had to redo at least parts of their translation of Ys8 because it was bad enough that fans went and complained to Falcom. It might be the most weeb friendly, but that also means the quality probably isn't that amazing, considering most weeb games are not that profitable either. If they want to start taking games that actually depend on a coherent story, they're going to need changes to how they manage those projects.

thats not a bad team, thats a good team not giving a shit about a game that they are only publishing of a practically unknown series that only has a decent sized following, ironically, thanks to Xseed's great work at publishing the game with the right marketing and to the right audience, from the first game to the seventh not counting the fifth but counting the prequel, thats seven games that they pushed out in less than a decade with a small team and falcom fucked them over.

You have admitted that the team isn't great in fancy words. Thanks for not arguing with me?

once again, i think they are good, but it seems thats only the case in small projects and main NIS developed games, i think those localizations are fantastic, but yes, i think they didnt put any effort on Ys 8, which makes falcom's betreyal of xseed even worse, but i dont think that because of one bad apple the whole tree has to go

Burn those traitors!
They jumped ship as soon as they saw the switch and left the ps4 and vita in second place when playstation is where they had their biggest time.
At least they have the decency to keep The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 a ps4 exclusive (until now at least).
As a consumer, exclusivity shouldn't be encouraged.
