Recently re-discovered this video I used to watch all the time in the early days of youtube.

With Youtube changing so much it's really weird to see the kind of stuff that was popular 10 years ago.
What did you watch back then?

This is mildly embarrassing to admit, but back in the day, I used to get a kick out of watching MarioMario54321's videos:

One of the first videos I watched on YouTube was this miniseries called Dimension Mix-Up:

It was weird, but it had Calvin & Hobbes teaming up with Sonic & Tails (& Knuckles), so it was cool in my book.

Chuggaaconroy is one of the few channels I remember watching ages ago, like, super old school, "and don't forget to leave a 5 star rating at the end of this video!" era Chuggaaconroy.

A friend of mine was a bass player and he turned me on to this cover. For a long time I liked it more than the original song, but somehow my ears got more in tune with the bass of the original, the cover is easier because it's much more in the background. The more I listened to the bass of the original, the more I loved it, basically appreciating Cliff Burton more.

Chuggaconroy still puts the most effort into his lets plays I've ever seen. It's insane that he's still around after 10 years.

Well, 6 years old isn't exactly 'back in the day' I guess, but it's not new either. Anyway Henry's Kitchen is the best thing on youtube, hands down. And he's still making them.

I used to watch flash animations from newgrounds back in the day when the site was still in very basic html format. Also I used to read a webcomic called "bob & George" that used assets and characters from the megaman series, good times.
