I briefly had this problem in the past where I would go on USB loader and pick a Gamecube game and it would give me the dsi error, I think I loaded the same game on Nintendont and later went back to usb loader and it worked again. Now I have the same problem where I get the error, Nintendont loads the Gamecube games fine, but USB loader gives me that error. Any ideas? Side note: My Wii games run fine and i'm on original Wii not vWii also original Wiimote (not motion plus). Any help is appreciated thanks.

Post your Nintendont settings in USB Loader GX.

the syscheck shouldn't be needed, as neither USBGX nor nintendont need a cIOS for gamecube games.
If the game works with nintendont launched from HBC, then he has IOS58 correctly installed.

if it works fine from HBC>Nintendont, then it's either :
- Crashing in USBGX : I suspect a bad game setting (conflicting settings due to updating the loader to a bugged version)
- Crashing in Nintendont but only when launched from USBGX : wrong generated settings sent to nintendont. (less likely, as nintendont should check and fill the missing settings)

What version of USBLoaderGX are you using ? (report the version from the credit page, or the boot screen)
Did you update recently ? USBGX r1264 had a bug with nintendont settings. Please manually update to r1268 (link in my signature, or sourceforge)
If it crashes only for a specific game : Did you try to reset the individual game settings for that game?
If it crashes for all games : did you try to reset the global settings (settings > reset) ?

Before resetting any settings, please note which settings you are currently using, so I can fix any possible bug due to conflicting choices.
you can post your settings or screenshots here (Z+C to take screenshots of the loader's interface to SD card)

@Cyan

My current version of USB Loader GX is Version: 3.0 r1268
I haven't tried to reset any games yet and I haven't tried every game but I have tried a good amount of them so i'm assuming they all will crash, but I will keep trying some. I'll hold off on resetting anything until you respond. Thanks.

Edit: Would resetting the global settings like you said reset my memory data from my GC games in USB Loader? I noticed when I played them on Nintendont even games I already have a save file with USB it will act like it's my first time playing (asking if I want to create a new file.)

Resetting the global setting doesn't reset the individual game settings.
it just set back the default settings for the loader (default paths, default GUI, language, theme, etc.)

it doesn't delete :
downloaded covers, banners, themes files
game settings, play count, favorite star level
savegames
emuNAND content

if you use 1268, then it's good.
I fixed the nintendont bug when browsing the individual game settings, but maybe there are still left over if you already had some settings set.
visit the Gloabl settings > Loader settings >
scroll to reset these two nintendont option manually (before trying to reset all of them) :
IPL and CCrumble (these are the last 2 added option, and they could be the cause of crash)

your issue with asking to recreate a new savegame file is because you set in USBGX a different settings than the default's nintendont setting for the MCEmu.

If you set it to "individual" : it will generate a new memory card for each game.
if you set it to "multi" (ON, in USBGX) : it will generate on single card with all games saved on that same card file.

You probably set it to ON, while nintendont is set by default to "individual" (not multi), and ask to generate a new one every time you launch from HBC>Nintendont.

I went to the loader settings and both CC Rumble and Skip IPL were turned off, I turned them on and tried again and got the DSI error. After that I went to Global Settings>Default settings, tried it again and still got the error. I'm not sure what is going on, I doubt it but it may have to do with when I put my SD card into my computer I copied all my Wii files to my desktop and deleted it off my sd to use it for something else, then later on I copied the files back to the SD. Also is their any way I can talk to you in a live chat like discord or anything?

if your formatted the SD to MBR+FAT32, it should work.
if you formatted to exFAT, nintendont works but USBGX is not compatible (unless I don't know and the latest libfat made it compatible, or partially compatible ?)

I don't have discord, and we are not the same time zone, so it might be difficult to find a common time to chat.
I'm always connected to gbatemp's IRC (even if I never speak) in case someone needs my help. But as I'm not always in front of my computer I'm not answering right away (I could sleep, or work, or not be at home).
I'm usually available on week days starting 6PM CET.

@Cyan

That's ok.
My SD card was already on FAT32 but I reformatted it again. I really don't understand what could possibly be going wrong here I didn't mess with any settings on USB loader, it just always worked for me, but like I mentioned I got the "Exception (DSI) occurred" once before and it seemed like it fixed itself and now it only happened after I took my SD card out and put the files on my computer and used the SD card for something else for a short time, after I put the files back on my SD and now my gamecube games give me the error. I apologize if I keep repeating myself but im upset that it won't work now and I had a bunch of saves I can't use. :/
Do you have any more suggestions I could try to get this fixed?

Edit: I also have already tried re downloading USB Loader GX and putting it on my SD (3 times now) and still gettin Exception dsi...

I'll be glad to see how you will help him fix his problem with syscheck.
If syscheck report help you fix his problem, then I'm all for that too, and I would have learn something for future help I could provide to users :)
remember, launching gamecube only uses IOS58, not a cIOS, so the only important information you need from syscheck is a single line : IOS58
remember, if IOS58 was bad, or tempered, HBC would be upside down, Nintendont wouldn't launch at all
If the issue is really reloading to IOS58, then it's a bug in the loader and syscheck doesn't provide information about IOS58 integrity.

what I can see, which is unrelated to your issue :
slot249 is using r53 instead of r52. It's en issue only if you plug your HDD to USBPort1. if not, reinstall r52 instead, it's more stable for Wii/Wiiware game compatibility.
slot254 I thought bootmii used version 65535? but nintendo use 65280 so if you have 281 it's not the stub version.

Maybe your card is faulty or dying.
Always use "safe eject" when writing anything to the card.
Always close a program/homebrew on the console before ejecting. (close USBGX, don't eject inside USBGX)
don't put the SD card back while inside a homebrew (except HBC, which handles the SD card properly)

or maybe syscheck is really useful, and the problem is d2x r53 which has issue unmounting the SD card before reloading IOS58 to launch nintendont?
reinstall/overwrite your slot249 and test again.

Yeah I've always used the safe eject on computer and always ejected the SD on the Wii menu. Do you think the card is bad? I was actually going to go and buy a bigger size do you think changing to that card will fix the issue?

Ok I need someone to explain this to me. Somehow I just got the Gamecube games to work they loaded and I was on my old save files. I did the button combo to reset to the menu and tried a few more games they worked, I was just about to comment here saying my issue was fixed, but before that I turned off the Wii to see if it I would get the DSI thing again and sure enough it happened now all gc games are showing the dsi. What the heck happened here??

I just left the SD card in my computer for like 20 mins before putting it back in the wii and thats how I got the GC games to load i think?
Also I haven't yet done the overwrite the slot249 that Cyan mentioned could someone tell me how to do that?

Interesting. This can be the cause nintendont detects my 1TB usb hdd and usbgx don't.

libfat still doesn't support exFAT. Only FAT16/FAT32 because exFAT is proprietary.

FatFS library supports exFAT but running a Wii disc-based game from USB with a cIOS requires a way to retrieve the fragment list for a file and FatFS doesn't do that. It *might* be possible to add it but I haven't looked. FatFS seems very slow to me.

@Cyan :

I often ask for a syscheck report, to see if everything is well installed and up to date.

Like the HBC, if Priiloader is installed, if the IOS are up to date, etc ......

As we can notice on his report the cios d2x, he has version Beta 53 alt, and it is not the best. so you offer the beta version 52, which will work better with its LOADER.

That's where I was going.

Regards, Jeannotte.

@Y2CRZY

Install the d2x cios version 10 beta 52, and retry your games.

IOS249 [56] (rev 21010, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Bug Trucha, Accès NAND, USB 2.0 <===== like this ;)
;)

Beta53 doesn't really have problems with regular drive access with hombrew. It has problems with some HDDs and emulated NANDs when it's running an official title.
