Confirmed today by Nintendo, Dark Souls is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 25th:

The first title in the genre-defining action role-playing franchise is coming to Nintendo Switch. DARK SOULS: REMASTERED includes the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, as well as improved framerate and resolution from the original DARK SOULS game for an exhilarating return to Lordran.

I absolutely agree that the prices are awful, nearly all of these ports should be $25 or less, but I don't see why people are complaining so hard about getting the ports themselves.

I mean, did everyone forget half the reason the Wii Useless failed was because it got fuck all for games practically it's whole life? I'd much prefer seeing ports, even shitty overpriced ports of 5 year old games, than garbage indie titles, or worse, nothing at all, between big game releases.

I agree in regards to the pricing on Switch, that is an issue. But honestly I have a very long list of games that I would like to get ported on the switch. I love gaming on the go.

I'm not sure what this all means. Does this recent slew of ports mean that third parties are actually making profits on this device?
Does it mean that actual new games will be made for the switch as well?

I think BotW didn't earn any of those awards, besides it was supposed to be a Wii U release. But i am happy if others are happy with games that for me don't live up to the quality Nintendo once had, like in the days of the N64. Superb release after another. I for one don't need those games and will pass.

If you honestly think Mario 64 is better than odyssey, or oot as good as botw, I think it's because of nostalgia. Or smash 64 as good as sm4sh. Although given star fox 64 is far superior to zero.
