I know this got away from the main thread, but I want to clarify something about the PS4.

What they did in PS4 managed to open a hacking door on the PS3, which was not achieved in all the life time it had before leaving the PS4. The vulnerability of the Webkit, managed to modify the last update of the console (4.82) with only the browser. This Webkit process has been implemented from the 3DS, Wii U, PSVita, NSwitch (currently in FW 3.0.0 below).

To find a vulnerability in the PS4, first the Modding must study the operation of the console, do many processes. And through the programming languages that it executes, the libraries that it loads, can obtain a possible vulnerability with only loading files in execution. But that is in charge of the Modders, whose work is appreciated. So it's worth waiting for. But hopefully it will not be late when the PS5 is released: v

As the modders advance, they find new vulnerabilities that they could not otherwise know of.

I already posted about this though:( I hate it when this happens
You posted that SciresM told us to not update. What I posted was that KernelHax was available on versions 2.0 to 3.0.2.
I made this thread minutes after the news came out, there was no way you could've posted this 12 hours before anyone else knew.

I see. It's similar, good point:)

I guess this does make my thread kinda null eh? Either way thanks for the news:)

Sorry I'm not "all there" right now

It would be awesome if the switch could be fully-blown open like first generation XBOX, which allows us to run linux and basically all the stuff possible. It is not just game pirating. This might be an interest to some but not always to everybody. Having an option for pirating is good but it is just an alternative. The main thing about CFW is to fully utilize the potential of the system.

I advise you to look at the 3DS scene. I have yet to see a purpose for CFW besides piracy and/or game content mods.

No, I'm going to release it once I have a CFW solution to go with it.

Kernelhax is useless without something to use it for, after all :)

Sweet. So theoretically CFW could be available on anything up to 3.0.2? Just asking as the other thread says kernel hax only working up to 2.3. Good work and thanks for keeping us in the loop :)

Just a sign for Nintendo's bad security.
Nintendo's bad security is what keeps the scene alive. Your point? Sony's security for the PS4 is good enough (I am assuming) that it deters most of the new developers (or developers in general) to work on it. Not only that, but it has a high enough pricetag that most developers can't afford to have 5-6 to test different things on. And the final reason why the scene is dying is because most of its games are purchasable and playable on PC, or soon will be. Same with Xbox One (S/X). It is too easy to purchase/pirate these games on PC for people to bother modding the system.
