Remove the internet connection? And how do you prevent children from updating? And how do you prevent it from updating itself?

You do realize they do that in order to keep the vulnerability in as many firmwares as possible. Keeping it secret benefits the community long term as it opens up more firmwares. It also allows users to benefit from features in newer firmwares while still having vulns exist for homebrew."We have something, but we're not showing anything anytime soon"
Ok, whatever
But why guarantee it be closed off if you can potentially keep it open allowing it to work on later firmwaresof course i knew there'd be something more beyond 3.0. SciresM had been hinting towards having done things with odyssey for a long time darnit and those hints were for all to see.
All just an excuse just to attention-seek and not release anything for more weeks.
yes i know it could get patched but that might happen anyway even without spreading word.
Yes, The switch auto updates itself. Just go to settings , updates and turn the auto update off. The best thing you can do is turn the wifi off. That ll prevent your switch from any attempt of trying to update itselfHoly crap, that is nice. I'm currecntly on 4.x because Gamecube controller support, and it appears I need it anyways, otherwise we couldn't have a 4 player MK8 Deluxe with friends.
Time to stay on 4.x!
EDIT: Is there any known way to block updates on the Switch?
Is it also possible that it unfortunately may be autoupdated?
Thanks.

NVIDIA, obviously!
Why would people hacking the US government give two shits about a game console?
You can't run CFW or EmuNand on kernel level?- Firmware 2.0.0-2.3.0:
-> Contains system flaws that allow code execution up to the kernel level;
-> Can be exploited to run homebrew using private methods (e.g.: nvhax).
No, that requires trustzone afaikYou can't run CFW or EmuNand on kernel level?
And having Gamecube (USB) controller support! You do realize they do that in order to keep the vulnerability in as many firmwares as possible. Keeping it secret benefits the community long term as it opens up more firmwares. It also allows users to benefit from features in newer firmwares while still having vulns exist for homebrew.
Pretty sure that falls under "features in newer firmwares" but yes.And having Gamecube (USB) controller support!
Just wanted an excuse to quote you. Just super excited is all.Pretty sure that falls under "features in newer firmwares" but yes.
I should have bought a Switch earlier but that's life. 2.3 is still a good place to be.
Same. I'm sad to not have the possibility to emunand/cfw on 2.3 :C
