A few weeks ago the original MicroSD used for my 3DS ended up dying, it was pretty old for a micro so I just went about getting a new one. I had backed up the SD, so that wasn't a problem. I've gotten a new MicroSD and moved all of the original files to it but my 3DS won't boot; the blue light slowly pulses on and off once. Any known solutions to this or have I hard bricked my console?

[EDIT]
Problem is solved, I had simply forgotten to format my new MicroSD to FAT32 prior to using it.

I have ensured that the arm9loaderhax.bin file is there, as is Luma.
That's strange tbh. It might be a long shot, but maybe try giving the sd card a cleaning with some rubbing alcohol on the contacts. Basically if your 3ds was working fine before you swapped the sd cards, you shouldn't have a brick.
I wish I could be more helpful, but I haven't used a9lh in quite some time.

I will make sure to do so. Thank you for at least trying to help me out, I appreciate it.

It sounds like the card isn't FAT32 formatted.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.

    That sounds really cool
