No, online will still very much be here.so if miiverse is getting shut down does that mean the online feature for that game is also getting shut down also?
*facepalm*Where r u guys getting those Switch gifs from?
Emoticons != emoji...from emojis yeah lol
Atleast it won't be $50, it'll be $20. Better than nothing i guess.Switch online is free now however It will be a paid service on 2018
Pawalls in general are still anti consumer which doesn't make the situation any better and shouldnt be supported since they can increase the price later on like what Sony did.Atleast it won't be $50, it'll be $20. Better than nothing i guess.
Oh, yeah. Didn't think about that...they can increase the price later on like what Sony did.
I never even thought of this. What sort of stuff should we do to back things up as an upcoming precaution? I'm guessing who buy a Wii U in the future won't have any way to get Homebrew and Haxchi set up without online.
As a guy who bought his Wii U after that update, what sucks so much about it?
yeah but the servers of nn is the wii u and 3ds servers and the store is linked to the nswitch store so that will close like in 10 yearsIf you can still buy shit from the Wii Shop Channel on the OG Wii then the Wii U servers will last till the end of times.
Nintendo likes ending services as much as they like making themWhen the Wii U got released people wearn't expecting the original Nintendo Wii's Wifi Connection service to go down as soon as it did.
But that happened because of that service's financing. The PS2 and the Wii shared the same service so that was the end of PA2 onling gaming too excpet for sellect titles.
Hopefully with this different service the Wii U will last untill the next Smash Bros game at least.
I'd be fine with something that required releasing of code that allowed for personal servers when a company no longer wishes to upkeep their server. The fact these kind of threads have to happen is a joke, servers shouldn't be shut down, there should be orders against them closing so they keep them alive forever. In 10 years time we should be able to play any WiiU game as it is today (or 360 & ps3), and the fact we probably won't be able to is pathetic. Every gamer needs to fight to preserve the online features of all games so they can't be shut down so we have to buy whatever there is at the time. And people try and come back with "it makes no sense as a business to keep them open" f the business, there are old buildings that are protected but useless, video games online should be protected in the same way, and servers for games shouldn't be allowed to close ever.
I can see where you're coming from. I mean even after all these years, an original XBOX can be played online. Why not a 3DS?The fact these kind of threads have to happen is a joke, servers shouldn't be shut down, there should be orders against them closing so they keep them alive forever.
