from what i understand, the 1.0.0 method activates more consistently (like every time) whereas the > 1.0.0 method requires some attempts, like pegaswitch.

The fact that it doesn't work on 4.0, hopefully makes it likely to be released. Or at least part of it, depending on how much of the exploit chain is patched.
