Hi, I've been using this pack and it works great but I want to update the plugins to be able to use the wii u pro controller
I changed the plugin and edited the ini file accordingly, it kind of works but not completely, I see the coverflow, I can select a game but instead of launching the game directly it sends me to the emulator and I have to choose the game again...... how can I make the game load directly from wiiflow? is there a new version of this masterpiece pack that includes wupc support for fceugx, snes9xgx, vbagx and wiisx?

Congrats to myself ! :)! I did it...again !
My vWii is looking pretty amazing.

Thanks to all who helped and to does who didnt, well I hope it helped one of you at least.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Someone should start a topic called Showmii what you'v got!
we could compare our different themes and setups by posting a few pics of the TV its being displayed on with wiiflow runing.

Does anyone know what settings to use for the gamecube/nintendont game save block size under wiiflow? nintendont via wiiflow is creating 512k files / 59 blocks. nintendont via cfg usb loader creates 2mb (251 block) files.

I keep trying to find the answer by searching but I can’t seem to find anything reliable. I installed the masterpiece pack back in April of 2014 and I was using devolution for Gamecube Games. Now I want to try Nintendont but I haven’t figured out how to update my masterpiece pack and keep all my settings.

How do you update it properly?

Hi Abdallah...Using Wiisx in Homebrew I can save and load different controller configurations I have saved. However, when I load Wiisx thru willflow although it appears to let me save custom configurations it does not allow me to load them..i.e. I have to reconfigure everytime. Is this potentially an issue with the dol file?

I just checked and same issue with Wii64 (beta 1.1 Honey).
1)Save Custom Configuration while in Homebrew
2)Restart the wii, go into Homebrew and recall my custom button config.
3)Restart in wiiflow and cant load custom button config regarless of saving it in having launched from Homebrew or Wiiflow

Is there any way to run WiiMednafen from this thread ( https://gbatemp.net/threads/latest-...lassic-controller.217245/page-38#post-7511079 ) thru WiiFlow plugin system? I replaced a Wiimednafen-mod3.dol on this file and now games have no autoboot. (on wiimednafen-mod3.dol everything was ok). Did mod3 had a arguments patch or something and other versions did not works with arguments? Or maybe 3rd party fixed version must have another args?

Same with WiiSXR, no autoboot thru plugin system, even if WiiSX works fine with autoboot

@AbdallahTerro I run Wiiflow on my Wii, using component cables (red/blue/green) on a CRT TV that doesn't support Progressive Scanning. I'm trying to run GenPlus from Wiiflow, and it's forcing it to run progressive scan, so the only picture I get is shaking back and forth and not comprehensible. Is there a way to disable progressive scan, or force interlaced, or possibly make the Wii see the cables as Composite? Thank you for your time.

This pack looks absolutely amazing! I desperately want to get it up and running, but I just can't seem to get my head around it :(

Is there a step-by-step guide to take a fully stock Wii and turn it into an Masterpiece?

Did you try reading the first post?

Yes Wolf, I did (otherwise how else would I have been able to see the pack's details and make comments about how I can't get my head around it, yes? :))

For instance, In the instructions there is a step whereby one has to install a wad onto an emunand. However, the beginning of that phrase makes no mention of setting up the emunand. There are instructions about that later, but that to me is counter-intuitive. I don't know which steps to follow first.

I admit to not being the most technically-minded person. Some of us need a little bit of a hand from time to time, yes?

Well first you need to install the homebrew channel on your Wii. The rest is a narly grind - a lot of info is outdated (even some info on how to install the homebrew channel!) - BUT if you have the will, you can do it. You will have to read alot and do research on your own. Nobody to hold your hand all the time. But it can be done. All the info is out there, for example i remember a thread called "Emunand for noobs" or something like that - use google my friend. And if you have questions (after your own research!) im sure people will help you.

And i was also a bloody noob - with no knowledge at all ;)

Thanks, modbrain - unless I've got completely the wrong person, I think I saw a post by you where you said you worked it out for yourself, which I thought was bloody impressive! :)

As you've suggested, I have indeed done some research already, to the point where I'm (thankfully) not at the absolute zero knowledge point. For instance, I know how to do a softmod and get HBC installed using ModMii. I even had Wiiflow installed with my Wii and GC backups all sorted and playable. But I followed instructions on how to do that, rather than understanding what different things do. I think because I can't work out how the different bits of software do and interact with each other, I find it confusing. Also probably because I don't want to get into a brick situation (when you get to my age, you get a bit leery about taking risks! :) )

But you're right, Google is my friend. BUt with the wealth of info out there, for those less technically-minded, it can be hard to work things out.

And that's what prompted me to see if there was a more basic guide for the cack-handers among us :D. Being an forum user of old (not this one, but they're all much of a muchness), I was concerned that if I asked basic questions, I'd end up with patronising and unhelpful responses; yours was very kind and encouraging, which was very refreshing.

Anyway, I shall plough ahead and see what I can find.

What exactly are you looking to do? Are you specifically wanting to get everything in the Master Pack working or did you only choose this because it sounds good and you think it is what you want? I have spent a long time "perfecting" my Wii setup so if you just need some advice or help setting certain things up I can help.

Hey Clutz,

Basically, I saw a video that demonstrated the Masterpack at work - with everything from Wii backups, GC backups and emulated ROMs all accessible from a single Wiiflow channel. It looked comparable to the set up I have on a Raspberry PI which is running Retropie / EmulationStation. With the Pi, you load up, scroll through the different emulators, select the one you want and then the games/roms are all listed along with artwork.

So, the vid I saw was comparable to the Abz Masterpack's set up (you go into the Wiiflow channel, choose the system you want, and all the games are there along with artwork, etc). When I saw that, I thought I'd turn my Wii into a single emulation system to replace the Pi, as that'll allow me also to play Gamecube and Wii games, which the Raspberry Pi either doesn't have the power or the hardware to run...

So, with all that said, it doesn't specifically HAVE to be Abz's Masterpack - it's just that was the only one I found that had the functionality I was looking for.

Are there alternatives whereby I can get everything into a single channel on the Wii?

You can do that with any version of WiiFlow. It uses a plugin system to handle non-Wii/GC games. Abz hasn't been here for quite a while now and I don't think he's updating this anymore. You might try WiiFlow Lite instead. (There's a post in this subforum for it.)

Just grab the pieces you want like covers from the MasterMod pack.
