    Hi, I have a old 3ds with firmware 11.0 and I need to downgrade it to do your rxTools guide. I google a bit and turn out there is no way to do it right now unless hardmod the 3ds! If there is a way to downgrade from 11.0 to 9.2 without hardmod in the future, where I should looking for(a site or blog maybe)? Thanks for your time! :)

    wait, I still got a NAND.bin backup in my computer. if I use that NAND(when my 3ds still at fw 9.2), can I downgrade it without hardmod? I when online and it said hardmod only need to dump the NAND, so is it possible to downgrade without hardmod?

    Well unfortunately you'd still need a hardmod, because there is no software exploit that you can run on 11.0 that will allow you to restore your NAND backup :/

    The reason I say it's easier is because JKSM shows the game name, whereas savedatafiler only shows the Title ID of the game. On second thought, I should have said "more convenient". You seem to know what you're doing though, so it's up to you which one you prefer!

    I've been trying to get this stuff to work for 3 days, and I'm kinda tired, and I don't want to keep bothering you with issues, so my question is, is it easier if I just buy a flashcard, and do I still need to use emunand to play games?     No, your 2GB is just too smalll. To install any cia game, you need to have free space equivalent to the size of the cia. So if you have a 1GB cia on your SD card, you need another 1GB of free space. This is because "installing" a cia is basically extracting the contents of the cia to the "Nintendo 3DS" folder on your SD card.

    hey, sorry to bug you again, just wanted to ask. When I tried installing a .cia game through devmenu on my 2gb sd card, it won't install saying not enough space. I transferred everything on the 32gb sd card, tried to install bigblue, and still I got the same error like before, so I installed devmenu, and wouldn't install a .cia game saying a different error. But on sysnand, it installed fine.

    Also I tried formatting sysnand through the system settings, but H&S app is still missing. Maybe I should restore the nand.bin and delete all the files from my sd card? sorry for all the posts, I'm new here and its giving me a character limit.

    Great!! That was a really weird issue, since everyone else seems to be using BBM in Emunand just fine! There are instructions in my guide for how to transfer your Emunand to your new SD card, if you need it.

    So I booted emunand, saw the H&S app there replaced by BigBlueMenu. Opened it, and right after a second an error appears saying that an error occured and to hold the power button to reboot the 3ds. Can you tell me what went wrong? I've been frustrated trying to get rxTools to work. Also is there a way for me to just remove everything safely (including uninstalling emunand) and start over?

    Then I went to the eshop, and it was taking forever to load, so I pressed the power button because I think something went wrong.
    Turned it back on and saw that the Health and Safety app was missing. I couldn't find an answer for that, so I just went on with the tut. I read somewhere in the tut that everything that was in sysnand is in emunand instead.

    hello, I was following your CFW tutorial, and its a great tut, but I'm having a few problems and can't seem to figure it out. On section 6, after step 8, I didn't turn off my 3ds because it was rebooting on its own, and so I thought it was fine.

    I have installed some Cias now. However, the nonlegit cias that were installed on sysnand did not come to emunand. These were pokemon neo x and star sapphire. Also the virtual console cias didn't come to the emunand. They're not on sysnand either. When I open data management I can see then but they are gray colored and they have a cross on them. What does this mean? Can I get them back?

    For the pokemon games, were they installed in sysnand before creating emunand? Because you would be able to see them in emunand in that case. If you installed them in sysnand AFTER creating emunand then they won't show up in emunand, only sysnand, since your nands are unlinked.

    I installed the pokemon games before unlinking the nands. I think I installed them on sysnand. When they were unlinked I installed some vc cias later on emunand. I didn't have to install it on sysnand too. Maybe Ill just have to uninstall the games that are grayed out with an x and reinstall them. Luckily I didnt have much save data on them so it doesnt matter if Iose it.

    I am following your rxTools guide. After section 6, I want to restore my sysNAND as earlier, because I want to re-install eShop apps (my paid ones) on sysNAND. As I know, eShop account data is saved on sysNAND. So if I restore my NAND.bin, will be the two NANDs linked or unlinked?
    If they will be unlinked, how can I restore NAND.bin through EmuNAND9? I can't find the option I need!

    If I backup my EmuNAND to EmuNAND.bin, after following that section's steps, in case I will accidentally delete EmuNAND (or files would be corrupted) from my SD card, I will only need to restore that backup file to EmuNAND? In case I will need to restore that backup done AFTER that section, would my NANDs be unlinked?

    1) If you restore an EmuNAND.bin, yes, you will only have to restore the .bin and nothing else. In some cases, you will have to restore an SD card backup made around the same time.

    2) Don't make it too confusing bro. Just understand this: If you create an Emunand, it is linked to the Sysnand you had at the time of creation. So you just have to know which nand is which.
    If you did this process: create emunand -> make emu backup -> format sysnand -> restore emu backup -> nands are not linked.

    please help me my 3ds version is 6.1.0 u and it doesn't have a browser what do i have to do? i read this in your post "If you are above 6.x firmware and you don't have a browser, your only chance to get CFW is to find someone that can setup Ninjhax for you.     You don't understand, you don't need ninjhax if you get a DS flashcard and DON'T update your 3DS.

    ive tried to install rxtools, firs it saysinstallation complete and then
    emunan not found , the emunand was not foun on your sd card pres A to boot sys nand
    then i press A and i get liens and it takes me to te menu and i see a black square
    if i go to the wrench icon the 3ds it says RX- S 6.1.0-0U
    then i don't know what to do,

    Thing is , the videos work fine in the Edge Dev and Canary builds. But whatever the fix they made was, has never been pushed to Beta or Stable builds. Its been that way for as far back as I tested. Which was Edge 84. They are on 125 now.
