Hi,
Modded my wii back in 2009 and had performed the odd cIOS/WAD installs to get certain game backups working on USB Loader GX and other aspects of the wii working.
Flash forward to 2015:
After a several year hiatus from using the wii, I dusted it off to try and play some of the newer Just Dance games. The Internet said I needed to install cIOS 250 to get the games working, so I did. At least I thought I did (er tried).
Long story short, I don't think I know what I'm doing. I tried installing the required cIOS, but somewhere along the process USB Loader GX stopped locating the External HDD used to play all the games I owned previously. When I turn it on it gives me the option to use either cIOS222 or cIOS249 but when I select cIOS249 it can't locate the drive. If i use cIOS222 no games load. At least not the ones I play (wii sports resort).
Here's my specs:

Is this a mess?
I need help with two things:
First, it looks like I have cIOS250 installed, but USB Loader GX wouldn't give me the option to select it when I went into gameload settings. I've read I need cIOS236 installed, but what's that all about.. (I'm really a novice with a bit of experience googling issues and strictly folllowing guides).
Second, how to I get my USB Loader GX back to the working state of before.
Thanks for any help!
