I'm looking to get a PS3 but don't want 3.60 firmware. Does anyone know what firmware the new [Slim] PS3s come with when bought brand new? If it matters, I'm in Canada.

On the other hand, if you get a refurbished one, it's likely to come with an older OFW depending on who you get it from.

I bought a ps3 3 weeks ago at a local gamestop, slim 320 gb and it had 3.41. I guess it depends how long it's been sitting around in the store.

I think Sony has started to make it if you plug in an Ethernet cord right before you go through the set up it will auto download the latest firmware. Not really sure about it.
