This is bugging me so much. Why does a fucking camera app need these versions?

Backstory:
I have a phone with Lollipop (5.1.1 to be exact), but the latest Camera version compatible with Lollipop is 2.7 (4.4+). The next release, 3.1 needs Marshmallow (6.0+), and the latest one, 4.1 needs Nougat (7.0+).
Now, why is this bugging me, you might be asking. Here's why: The first Lollipop-incompatible version, 3.1 introduced a new UI, and I fucking love it, but I can't get it, because my phone doesn't have a Marshmallow or a Nougat ROM for it.

Wow, so lonely here o.o

Well, Android applications require a certain API (Application Programming Interface) level to work properly and uh, the newest Google Camera updates are targeting a higher level than that of Android Lollipop (Which has levels 21 and 22, whereas MM is 23 and Nougat is 24). A quick look through XDA shows that someone ported Google Camera 3.0 to Android 5.0+ devices. Look for "[APP][PORT][5.0+] New Google Camera v3.0!". Just a quick note though, you'll need to be rooted and have xposed installed.

@SylverReZ Yup. Been a longtime fan of Ween. Not a mega-fan by any means but I'm pretty familiar with most of their tunes.

I like electronics that use detachable cables, that way if the cable breaks you can just swap in a new one instead of replacing the whole unit

the L hdmi adapters work great on my tv and receiver. so much less stress on the ports using them than regular cables. in that instance anyway.

  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
