For me I ran cmake from console to build from cmake txt file then ran make after that....At some point I had to put it into VS but it seems i don't need to do that now. I think the real issue is the tool only works on an older version of the R4i kernel so it needs to be reworked for the updated...- Apache Thunder

The only thing it changed on mine is this: Does the same thing as the lifehackerhansol build so no change on my end other then that it does alter the file unlike for you for some reason. I'm not familiar with the G6...sounds like it's not a clone of N-Card then because it looks like the DLDI driver for NRIO doesn't work with it. You can however try using G6's DLDI driver. Use something like dlditool to dldipatch GodMode9Nrio with the G6 DS Real DLDI driver. I assume it's the G6...- Apache Thunder

Oh neat that should work. If the shell is too far gone I can always put the PCB in the shell for my bricked ExpressCard. That one I pulled apart rather cleanly so it would really only need a new label. I know an etsy seller who might be able to make new label for it if the label is too far gone...- Apache Thunder

Yeah I'm not sure how that side of it works under the hood. I do know that it doesn't present it's main rom 1:1 to what is present on nand (the arm7 binary is no where to be found. You can look into the type of flash chips N-Cards use. They are nand based and it would be awesome to see a modern retake on N-Cards. They are pretty neat. As far as I can tell xmenu (the loader for that card) didn't match games much at all. I think the asic chip handled the nand mapping itself...- Apache Thunder

I have been able to do the same kind of dump precedure on DSi because like DS Firmware DSi System Menu will init the card and keep a copy of it's header/chip ID in ram for any DSiWare to use. DSiWare involved has to have the required bits for that set in it's header of coarse so only on CFW'd...- Apache Thunder

If it weren't for the fact your card likely is an autobooter like og R4 I would have been able to make a dumper for you. I recently successfully found a way to send over a modified build of GodMode9i via DS Download Play and dump a cart without doing any cart init stuff to the rom ctrl registers...- Apache Thunder

The IO device error is normal. The card doesn't use normal IO commands when in safe mode and won't mount as a proper drive on PC. You use N-Card's software to update uDisk section when in that mode. Oh a G6 Real...After some looking up that appears to be a nand based cart. Wonder how similar it is to N-Cards and if that USB dongle it has would work with their software. You should test that out when you get it. ;)- Apache Thunder

I'm interested in seeing a rom dump of that cart. Reattempt it with the paper trick since you had some success in getting NTR launcher to recognize it in debug mode. Since your cart is one that is easily disassembled, you can cut some paper to shape and fit it under the PCB and label side...- Apache Thunder

The banner is stored at a specific offset on nand. It can be changed provided you use the correct write commands. (that part hasn't been reverse engineered yet). The original USB dongles the very first N-Cards came with used software that could update the icon on the card to the game you flash...- Apache Thunder

Currently NTR Launcher can also boot these cards as well so that would be your fastest option for DSi anyways if you are using Twilight as your main UI. Appearently there are varients that use the goomba icon and have DS Fireline as it's banner text. Mine isn't one of those and has the N Card...- Apache Thunder
