Do Nintendo DS Games Go To Sleep If Not Used For Years?

I don't think that any ds games used battery backed sram saves

Do Nintendo DS Games Go To Sleep If Not Used For Years?

Maybe the contacts of the cartridge oxidated and you had to remove the oxidation layer before you could use them

EZ-Flash's new Nintendo DS flashcard Product Images with Information

The problem is, that the groundwork is bad. The card is too slow and that can't be fixed with a Kernel update. It might be fixable with a firmware/FPGA update, but we don't even know if that's possible with this card.

Read speeds are only about half as fast as other ds flashcards

Hacking Hardware r4isdhc.hk 2024+ carts now use R4DS Pro hardware

The original R4 was limited to 2GB (or to be more prcise: SD. SDHC doesn't work) storage. That's not something that you want to have with modern cards. I'm not entirely sure how RTS works in detail. But as far as I know, both the flashcart itself (it's FPGA) and the menu have to support it. And...

Hacking Hardware r4isdhc.hk 2024+ carts now use R4DS Pro hardware

It's not the same menu. There have also been other flashcarts with RTS in the past (e.g. cyclods ievolution, supercard dsone/dstwo and I think also M3i) and cards without RTS (original DSTT, DS-X and many more). The R4 with RTS that you linked a video about is generally not seen as a good one...

Imagine an official storefront to buy and download roms

There are many collections that directly provide the ROMs if you buy the windows version. SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis Classics, NeoGeo Pocket Color Collection 1 and 2 (you can get like half of the NGPC library as ROMs), Atari Vault (sadly not available anymore since Atari 50), releases by pixel...

Did the Supercard DSTwo "plus" ever actually ship?

In my opinion the main argument for the DSTWO Plus is the better build quality but that's something that probably doesn't work in the DS scene as buying reason

Did the Supercard DSTwo "plus" ever actually ship?

It is a normal DSTWO including the DS game support and it supports 3DS games with a proper CFW. (Side note: another cartridge that supports both, DS and 3DS games, is the stargate 3DS)

Did the Supercard DSTwo "plus" ever actually ship?

The DSTWO+ actually supports 3DS games. But it has that CFW approach gateway used and there is no CFW for the latest 3DS system version. It does work with older firmwares tho. DSTWO cards are pretty rare and expensive because they are still among the best DS flashcarts available today but they...

It has massive speed and compatibility issues while being more expensive than the alternatives. Ace3ds x is probably the way to go

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

As far as I know the rule of thumb is that the supercard rumble series doesn't have enough RAM for GBA games while the non-rumble cards have enough. I think that there are also rumble versions of the other sizes

Some questions about development for the 3DS

For the first question, I'd see if I can find another makefile that uses C++ and simply copy it. At least for the beginning. Afterwards you can compare them and learn from that. That's basically how 3DS development works. There is close to no documentation apart from existing projects and...

Is RTC coming anytime soon to Analogue Pocket?

It should work with the GB/GBC cores by budude2 and it might also work with gbstudio patched games. But I'm not completely sure about the GBA side of things. There were also a few recent updates which did some stuff to the clock. I'm not sure if it affects the cores by spiritualized in some way.

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

This patch can probably integrated into the loading routine. That way nothing would need to be disabled. The NES classic games don't work either.
