Homebrew [Release] fastboot3DS - open source bootloader / chainloader

There's no build bot that I know of at the moment. We're willing to do a new release though, if a few people are willing to test.

Homebrew Official [Release] GodMode9 - All Access File Browser for the 3DS

@c4388354 - thanks a lot, that's a well described issue. Guess that's some encrypted blank space there. I can look into scrubbing it. Can you open an issue on GitHub? You may just add a link pointing to your post here.

Homebrew Official [Release] GodMode9 - All Access File Browser for the 3DS

aeskeydb is not required by most. Just for some obscure special functions and if you want to use GM9 as bootloader (but not even then it's actually required). The other two, well, they're needed to decrypt certain CIAs and .3DS files. If that's important to you, leave it in.

    GodMode9 v1.8.0 released

@everyone: The preferred solution to any GodMode9 issue chainloading from Luma is to switch from b9s to fb3DS (don't worry, Luma itself will not be affected by this). See here (easy instructions included): https://github.com/d0k3/OpenFirmInstaller/releases/tag/v0.0.9

Hacking How I fixed my Godmode Won't Launch problem

@darlenevile: That's clearly a Luma issue and should be created as an issue on Github. You don't even get to the payloads menu in Luma. GodMode9 has nothing to do with it. Also, @BaamAlex, what I just said :). auto I forgot to add, the preferred solution to any GodMode9 issue chainloading from...

Legit, in that rare case. You'll just get a universal, legit CIA, without any identifying info.

Homebrew Official [Release] GodMode9 - All Access File Browser for the 3DS

Preinstalled games are different. They contain a universal ticket. If you make a CIA from them, it will work, without CFW, on any console (FW 11.3 or less).

Homebrew [Release] fastboot3DS - open source bootloader / chainloader

We just released fastboot3DS v1.2. This is new: 92579d6 Increase size limit for path in boot setup. 7cce7bf Fixed out of memory for big topscreen splashes. c15fe99 Only show splash on cold boots and before menu. f442d84 Updated fatfs to version R0.13c. As you see, this is just a minor update...

    Homebrew GBARunner2 om Twilight Menu++ with a 3DS/N3DS

Doesn't matter if the risk is 50% or 0.01% - if it happens for you, you're f*****d. Even if there are no replies here, you can not tell if you're safe or not. if you ask me, I wouldn't use that feature as long as the disclaimer is relevant. If you really have to, you may consider using a...

    Homebrew [Pre-release] Agbsave9 - Tool to extract agb_firm saves.

Well... I thought this through, and actually GM9s method *should* work for GBA VC games from EmuNAND, too. You'll still have to inject / dump from S:/agbsave.bin, though. Did you use E:/agbsave.bin earlier?

    Homebrew Fastboot help

It's as hard to break (brick) your system with fastboot3DS as it is with boot9strap. We made sure there's no way for inexperienced users to do stuff they really shouldn't be doing. If by "mess up your system" you meant not understanding the configuration and setting it up in a way so that it...

I can't believe you got me with that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    How are you doing?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.

    That sounds really cool
