I picked sd partition. At first it wouldn't let me use the option because I didn't actually have a partition on my SD card, but once I made one it went through perfectly fine.
Went through with everything and it seems to be ok, but for some reason emuMMC is being held in my main partition while my second one seems to be empty.

Thanks for all your help btw
I went through with hekate and it didn't ask for anything but a premade partition. Did all the boot0/1 and emummc stuff on it's own.
Wondering though... do I have to go through hekate every time and select atmosphere to boot into OFW (when I have emummc enabled of course)? And assuming...
Got an error after trying it this time around.
Might just try the hekate method, I guess lol
Would I need to put my rawnand/emummc/boot0/1 anywhere on my sd card before trying that? I'd imagine so since it requires clean copies.
Going to try this out in just a minute. I looked into it and for some reason when combining the rawnand.bin+boot0/1 the emummc.bin was less than a kb... combining again. Hoping it fixes the issue.
I'm trying to set up emummc and nearly have it there, but for some reason I can't get the bin to set itself onto the partition. I'm thinking I may have the location of the files arranged poorly, or maybe I just typed the command incorrectly. I have the files kept on an external HD. And here's...
I wanna try it, but I heard that you can't downgrade from 7.0.1 to 5.1 (I believe that's the FW I have).
Also, would anyone happen to explain this a little to me in laymans terms? https://gbatemp.net/threads/firmware-version-inspector-get-fw-version-from-nand-dump.515308/
It's a FW version...
Good idea, definitely doing that, but how would I go about getting the boot files for the 4.x rawnand that I have?
auto
That’s what I want to do, but idk if it’s safe to mount the rawnand without the boot files.
I hacked my switch a loooong while back and at the time the guides just said I should back up with hekate... so I did. It only gave me a rawnand.bin file. I'm thinking that the rawnand is somewhere around 4.x, but I honestly have no idea. Also not sure where to go from here now that I'm on 7.1...
I finally modeled and 3d printed the new HDD cages I need in order to build my 2nd NAS. Original ones don't fit the mounting holes on the hdds I'm using. Been sitting on this project for over 2 years smfh
Also another 70TB going in the front mount drive bays of this server. 182tb raw, going to probably use a zfs RAID-Z3 for 3 parity disks, so 140TB usable
I could claw back 14tb by only doing 2 parity disks but I feel like with 13 disks in the RAID I'd be kind of pushing my luck on rebuild time if I encounter a disk failure
