NES Classic Edition will be restocked this June

Well now that I have the SNES Classic running RetroArch, I'm much less interested in one of these. I'll probably pick up a couple of the NES style controllers though - hopefully they'll be a little easier to buy than the console. I have no interest in standing in line or trying to snipe...

Software Wii U emulator Cemu update 1.12.0 publicly released, adds Wiimote support and more

Sounds nice, but I can't for the life of me get my wiimote to work (the same one that works just fine in Dolphin)...

Official Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Soundtrack releasing on April 25th in Japan

Music from the Switch version was dumped last year as .bfstm files which play fine in foobar2000 with the right plugin. There's more variety than you think, but while the music works well in the game, it's not so great for just listening to...

Yeah I'm on A9LH, it's been a while since I did anything to my setup. I'll look into upgrading to B9S and see where that takes me. EDIT: Back in business. Thanks everyone.

    Hacking Restore WiiU before selling

No I never set it up for cold boot, I run Haxchi manually. Do I just run a regular factory reset? Am I better off trying to sell it hacked?

Emulation Wiimote with shake & tilt for NSMBU in CEMU?

Is TouchMote still the best way to get this (mostly) working or can CEMU handle this natively?

Hacking Question What game/feature will make you update?

Some form of virtual console system could do it for me, especially if it has a good game lineup at launch. The Switch would be perfect for playing retro games on the go. Sure I have other handhelds that can run emulators and/or VC, but nothing with the screen size and form factor of the Switch...

Hardware GBA flash cart that supprts GBA/GBC/GB

I just use two different carts, one for GBA and one for GB/GBC. Both are Everdrives. The quality and compatibility are fantastic, and they're dead easy to use. The price is quite reasonable compared to the cost collecting all your favorite games as loose (and possibly counterfeit) carts from...

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
