Suggestion Limiting new users to 1 thread, then a cooldown timer. We also need more staff

Oh I think they mean let them post one thread and limit them to that one per day, which honestly does sound reasonable. I can't see many new users needing to post 10 threads in their first day. Maybe two if they want to do an introduction and then their actual issue.

    Best emulator front ends

Ahhh that's fair, I think I had around 200-300ish when I used it and it was fine, but I'm by no means a power user and I kept it strictly to retro games withgout bringing in my PC library.

Anbernic reveals specs details of pocket-sized RG28XX retro handheld

I think you can do this with some handhelds actually, though it's definitely not as seamless as I'd like: It's a shame none of these companies want to just throw a lot of time into a really solid OS capable of things like that. If there were a handheld that had really seamless link cable...

    Best emulator front ends

I've always used Playnite personally. I quite like the playtime tracking on games, and it having both a desktop and full-screen controller mode makes it ideal for moving between a larger screen and your regular seutp. Can't really say if it's the best though, since it's the only one I've...

Feedback Please fix spam posts still showing up in the recent content box for blogs.

In my time as staff we've never had the nuke button, and that's been like seven years at this point? I think there are exceptions, like the Chief Editor role, since they have something closer to Admin perks if memory serves, but that's about it. And yeah I didn't think you were trying to put me...

Feedback Please fix spam posts still showing up in the recent content box for blogs.

I will mention since I'm the only staff in the image that I don't actually have the power to deal with spam. It's just folks on the moderation side of things that have the correct permissions to delete threads/nuke accounts and the like.

    Steam Deck overheating.

Is this accurate? 45W TDP is pretty damn high for a mobile platform. I'm fairly sure the Steam Deck has a 15W TDP and is designed to run well as low as 6W, which is why it stands out from Windows handhelds that are designed to run at 15W and can generally go to around 35. I feel like you're...

Anbernic reveals specs details of pocket-sized RG28XX retro handheld

Some already do tbf, albeit probably not Anbernic's. On the higher end something like the Odin can do pretty much all of the PS2 library upscaled. I use a KTR1, which is a good chunk smaller (4.5in screen) and that can manage some PS2 and GameCube, though definitely not all. I'm really waiting...

Review Random Game Review #1: Yoshi Touch And Go

If you want to do more reviews, you should consider posting them in the review center: https://gbatemp.net/reviews/ Gives you a bit of a different format, and allows you to have a bit of room at the bottom for scoring various parts of the game.

I wish you luck with your endeavour. Personally I quite like Splatoon 3 though, it's difficult to go back.

Delta emulator now available on the App Store for iOS

To be fair Ignited also does have a bunch of Pro features for those happy to pay, but the base functionality is still all there (and includes iPad support). I think the dev is planning to have a Pro subscription when it reaches the App Store, with the option of a one time fee for those that...

Delta emulator now available on the App Store for iOS

Eh, it's hard to justify when Ignited just works out of the box: I do think Delta's a great emulator, but Ignited has just taken everything that was good and made it better. I'm happy to just keep sideloading it for now and hold out for its approval (hopefully soon!).

Delta emulator now available on the App Store for iOS

Baffling there's no iPad support. I'm sure there's a version of Delta that supports it.

The first retro emulator hits Apple's App Store, but you should probably avoid it

It's great to see it, but I'm still hopeful for Ignited. iPad support is kinda a big point for me, and I know Delta does support it because I've used it on my iPad Mini before... No idea why the App Store version doesn't have it. If nothing else Delta will hopefully give others confidence to...

Smoking Ban Bill (UK) Passes First Hurdle

I do agree with a lot of this based on what I've seen myself. My dad is probably the best example I can think of. He smoked for 20+ years and one day we noticed he'd just stopped. It turns out he hadn't smoked for a few weeks at that point, and we only noticed when we spotted he wasn't going out...

Things you recently bought or got

Well it's a pretty great mail day for me! After being told last month that there would be a delay and that it'd get to me sometime mid-April, I had heard nothing from ASUS. Until this showed up today with zero shipping confirmation: It is every bit as cool as I hoped it would be. On a lesser...

Smoking Ban Bill (UK) Passes First Hurdle

To be honest, it really doesn't seem like an awful way to approach the problem. Raising the legal age every year means that people that are currently addicted aren't suddenly forced to go cold turkey, and makes it far less accessible for younger people to get into it. It's not going to make...

The first retro emulator hits Apple's App Store, but you should probably avoid it

Not sure about App Store ones, but I know it’s an issue with sideloaded ones at least. If you want JIT on a sideloaded app you need to connect it to a PC every time you want it enabled iirc.

The first retro emulator hits Apple's App Store, but you should probably avoid it

Seems like it is their emulator: https://github.com/tsalvo/nes-emu-ios Interesting to see that it did cost 99p earlier today but is now free though. Wonder if some part of the code didn't allow them to charge for it? Either way, no ads, no tracking, it seems solid on paper.
