Falcon, in this context, is a specific, proprietary and entirely custom architecture made and kept fairly secret by nVidia. It had to be manually reverse engineered. It's mostly present in nVidia GPUs in order to enforce DRM.
actually, no, no need for keys.txt. It generates %userprofile%/.switch/prod.keys, which hactool will automatically check for, and load if present. So, no need to ever do "keyset=keys.txt" just use hactool without it
Type "hactool keyset=" then drag your keys.txt into the cmd window from the file explorer. Alternatively, "mkdir %userprofile%/.switch" then "copy" drag keys.txt into the cmd window, then "%userprofile%/.switch/prod.keys" then you don't have to use --keyset= ever again.
Also, hactool expects an...
Not really sure what's up with that, I don't use any xcis or any of the tools associated with them for anything, I'm mostly trying to get this improved keys.py working right (so people don't encounter errors)
the point is to keep everything functioning on lower FW. Imagine an exploit comes out (there's already sort of an example of this with PPT JPN) for lower FW that requires a cart based game. You go to downgrade and, oops, no way to do what you want. Keeping the cart slot in working order (or at...
It's a preventative measure, unfortunately. For example, forget to run hekate with the patched FS one time, and your cart slot won't work on lower FWs. It's kinda like burning a fuse, but for the cart slot controller.
I'm working on some FS patches to prevent the cart slot disable when updating, then downgrading to lower FW versions: I need testers. Anyone who wants to help, let me know :)
NOTE: There may be the risk of losing access to your cart slot with my patches! I need someone willing to risk it. Also...
The easiest way to do it is: type in keyz, then drag your boot0 file from the file manager window into the cmd window, as well as BCPK2 into the window (making sure theres proper spaces between everything)
Much improved keys.py (rename forum attachment to keys.py)
It: will take the name of BOOT0 and BCPK2-1-Normal-Main from the command-line, if desired (old names are still used if they aren't passed). Will automatically put the keyfile into the correct directory so hactool can just use it without...
@Xdqwerty, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! is the Japanese version of the game, different settings/characters/songs but otherwise identical mechanics. I played that before I knew about Elite Beat Agents lol. Both fantastic games https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osu!_Tatakae!_Ouendan
