Homebrew Would Homebrew work with the dock?

Again, probably. Any of the devs could answer these questions if you tweeted at them. (I can't. My twitter account gets blocked automatically by anybody I tweet for some reason.)

Hacking Question about Switch performance and dynamic resolution scaling?

Oh, it can easily hit 95°C. In handheld mode, some of use with long fingers have a habit of resting said fingers on the intake vents on the back. It gets toasty quite quickly, even more so if you set it down on its back on a soft surface such as a blanket.

Homebrew Would Homebrew work with the dock?

As long as you're still running stock firmware at some level, the dock should ALWAYS work as-is, as evidenced by being usable at the home menu, meaning it's not on a per software basis. Otherwise, it's probably rooted in the hardware (unlikely IMO), which would mean docking *should* work, even...

Hacking What are YOU hyped about?

I personally can't wait for game patching, so I can load Breath of the Wild mods. I'm also looking forward to trying to recreate a corruption plugin somebody came up with on 3DS. (Scrambled gpu-specific memory region.) So what are you HYPED for in terms of Switch hax?

Hacking Team Xecuter reveal info on upcoming Switch modchip

*Looks at Switch* Yeah, because it's not like Nintendo has ANY interest in making tablets... /s

Hacking TrustZoneHax on 3.x and below

Never say never. After all, Nintendo wants the Switch to be more "stable" than the 3DS, which is probably going to take at least another dozen version numbers and some duct tape. Side note: Could gou imagine the PR hit nintendo would take if they admitted the stability thing was a B.S. cover...

Hacking TrustZoneHax on 3.x and below

On the upside? Nintendo has a finite number of e-fuses to burn. Find enough exploits, and any further FWs would have the same number burned. Assuming you could get them to make enough new FW revisions, that is.

Hacking TrustZoneHax on 3.x and below

Excluding the TX hard mod, yep. If you include the hard mod, we'll probably get kernel/trustzone before you know it on 4.x, just based on how their chips have worked in the past.

Hacking Why is every major dev of the Switch scene pissed about Xecuter's work?

I love how offtopic this thread is. -Arguing semantics (okay, fine) -Arguing semantics with someone who is either trolling or an idiot (not fine) -Arguing semantics with someone who is either trolling or an idiot, attempting to use logic to "win" against someone who's viewpoint can be summed up...

The Loominarty don't factor into this.

Hacking Why is every major dev of the Switch scene pissed about Xecuter's work?

Getting stuck? Well you see, crawling under a fence designed to keep horses in in order to retrieve something is fine and dandy, but be aware that it may decide to arc to the back of your head if you get too close to the wire on a return trip. I couldn't get out from under it because being...

Hacking Why is every major dev of the Switch scene pissed about Xecuter's work?

Heck, I don't have either of those and STILL find soldering hard due to shaky hands. ...of course, my nerves are damaged from getting stuck under an electric fence, so I may be a minority here.

Hacking fail0verflow releases coldboot exploit proof of concept

Um, no? PS4 is probable, but nobody new is going after XBone because of the UWP dev mode nonsense. Devs who are anti-piracy are perfectly content to just write programs as a UWP package. For proof, just look at RetroArch's UWP port.

Hacking fail0verflow releases coldboot exploit proof of concept

Nah. Hamachi can be a little laggy (200ms ping), but if it's only being used with people you're already familiar with, the risk is minimal. /offtopic

Hacking fail0verflow releases coldboot exploit proof of concept

Not to mention having to play multiplayer using system-link, or hooked to a PC using Hamachi for what amounts to long-distance system-link.

And then there's those of us who just want homebrew/mods. Who needs to pirate when you have a job to pay for games?

Hacking Team Xecuter reveal info on upcoming Switch modchip

This.^ Chances are, just like 3DS, you'll eventually be able to install a different exploit using a hard mod, negating the need for the mod itself. Also, if they manage to bypass the downgrade protection with the hard mod, everyone could just drop to 1.0.0. Hypothetical, difficult, but still...
