What is the latest version that's recommended? I still have 1.3.3 installed. I know some later versions only introduced problems instead of actual improvements.
Inject the rom into Nintendo's official Virtual Console.
It has perfect performance because it's not actually emulation, it's running directly on the hardware.
Hourglass9 is more basic, and also safer by design. It will never let you overwrite A9LH. So if you ever want to restore your 3DS to a fully factory-like state for example, Hourglass9 can't help you.
This whole manual patching process, is that something that will always be necessary to get this running?
Or might Luma be able to do this 'on the fly' in a later version, the same way it's already applying the patches for gba cia's for example?
The new guide is simply amazing. I followed the guide months ago, when it still took hours to complete. I can imagine that old guide looked a bit overwhelming to some people, but this one really simplifies the whole process.
Some time ago I read something about cores (CIA versions) not being able to use dynarec on 11.0. Is that correct? Do dynarec-enabled cores have poorer performane on 11.0?
I only recently discovered how excellent SNES VC is. It runs so smooth, definitely better than the various cores in retroarch. I also really like the resume function.
How do the Donkey Kong Country 2&3 games run on RetroArch (catsfc core)? I have yet to start playing them. I know the games use some advanced lighting/transparency affects in some levels. Can the emulator handle this smoothly without slowdowns?
