You should change the info for 3DS ROM dumping as it is possible via flash cart. Also a note that 4.x systems can run homebrew without a flashcart should be added.

I want to get a flash cart for my DSI XL 1.4E but i have no idea which to get.

I want it to have an autosave, cheats, supports sleep mode and has a decent ui. Preferably from a site in EU that sells it somewhat cheap with tracking and supports purchase by paypal. CAn anyone link me some good ones?

It seems the dsi doesnt work on my current wifi, so i'lm just gonna leave it offline.

The cart from r4ids.cn may be what you're looking for. It doesn't have autosave but it does have real time save which allows you to save anywhere manually although it doesn't work for all games. As for a site that does use PayPal, I can't think of any since Nintendo cooperated with PayPal to remove the accounts of several sites from what I have read.

Oh, ok. Cause i am highly afraid to give random sites my credit card info.

Plus that site has several different versions of the flash carts and i don't know which to pick.

For playing DS games, choose the R4i Gold 3DS RTS Version. From what I remember the GW blue cart is a clone and by using Flashcart Time warp will allow you to use it again if you intend on playing 3DS games.

Hey I have been thinking about doing this for some years now. I have an old NDS maybe bought a year after it came out. hasn't seen much use on it. I want to play nds pokemon games, and hopefully emulate some gbc pokemon games on it. was Looking at the card the above poster mentioned, but it doesn't list NDS, starts at Nds Light. Can anyone suggest a card that will work for sure in my old nds? thanks

Anything that works in a DS Lite will work in an old DS. They use essentially the same firmware, although the old DS did have firmware revisions for really old flashkits that nobody uses anymore.

i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol

They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and nvidia is already doing ARM
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think they want to take more focus away from their gpus
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term

AI assisted game creation might become a thing

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and using LLMs to generate NPC dialogue and even dynamically generated quests is something i'm sure is already happening
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
will just take some time for games made using those things to be completed and released
