America won't get it until the flashcart people have already created a workaround.
Where the hell are people getting this idea? Nintendo of America only reason on Mondays, and they're probably following that example for firmware updates. It has NOTHING to do with flashcart updates given the fact half of the Flashcart market has just been killed. Infact, that's most likely the least of the reason they're taking so long to release it in America.
I know I skipped reading the rest of this post, but I'm annoyed with un-educated people thinking it's so that Nintendo of America can catch more Flashcarts than the rest. We were the last DSi to be released, we're the last DSi to be updated. We were released last not to block Flashcarts, we were released last because Nintendo of America felt the DSL still has a life line going on. That's a better explanation of why it's taking longer to release. Nintendo of America just isn't interested in the DSi, and they've shown that through how slow they've been with it. Hell, I don't even see DSi commercials anymore.
The truth is there is no reason to why they're taking longer to release. There are multiple reasons they could be. Waiting for a Monday to release it with DSiWare games, they just don't have an interest in the DSi as all other Nintendo branches do, they're still coding it and beta testing before release (which is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE as Pal, Jap and USA aren't coded the same, hence the Region locks. So, if the others have been released and all went fine, that doesn't mean that Nintendo of America went well), or they're just too busy with other projects to waste time.
There are multiple reasons it could taking a while so stop making that accusation.

yea, maybe not..
from what we know....
but how come the government is starting to run everything? (including possibly your health care?)....
sure seems like it....
BACK ON TOPIC.
...on that note, I'd rather have the government run our health care, like it is in Canada, as opposed to companies who are out simply for the money. And having the government own everything isn't communism...that's more on the side of fascism. Communism means that everybody owns everything...but it's never actually worked out that way with all the 'communism' of the past.
...anyway, yeah, back on "topic." Though I hesitate to say "topic" since this thread kinda descended into anarchy ages ago. tongue.gif
