Hacking EZ Flash IV, Can't flash kernel, white screen

Got my EZ Flash IV today followed multiple tutorials and youtube videos, tried micro sd's ranging from 1gb to 32gb and whatever i do it, turning on the console while holding R trigger I just get a while screen after the "Gameboy/Nintendo" screen.

Any ideas? Tried on an orig gba and the SP

Where did you get the kernel from? Maybe it’s corrupt?

I've tried every one on their site and also other random links I found in tutorials. Since I've never seen anything more than a white screen on it I thought it could be that it can't read any of the cards due to dirt on the contacts of the Micro sd reader, tried cleaning it out with compressed air but no luck.

Rubbing alcohol, along with a q-tip, will be your best bet for cleaning contacts. This is the only kernel you should use here.
