Hardware Is there a way to get the mic from the earbud/earphone that comes with every PS4 to work on PC?

Hello.

I'm talking about this accessory:

It's used for in-game chat, but what I'm interested in is getting the microphone to work on PC. I have the official Sony wireless adapter for the DualShock 4 controller (along with DS4Windows 1.4.52 - audio patched version), since I've read that any other Bluetooth adapter won't work with audio. I'm also running Windows 10.

I've tried plugging it directly into the microphone slot on the PC, on the controller, setting it as the default communication device... Both wired AND wireless, but the "Voice Recorder" Windows app just doesn't seem to work with it.

Anyone got it to work on Windows? Google wasn't particularly helpful on this.

it will work just fine if you have a combined mic/headphone port on your PC
