Looks really boring and generic. I thought that Tokyo RPG Factory was going to bring a lot of good into the RPG world but they just seem to be retreading old ground.
I agree completely, but I'll probably still buy it. Maybe I'm just boring and generic myself.

Kanata, the Swordsman. Now that's some creative naming right there.

Seriously, they can just keep this. Setsuna was mediocre boredom already and this is basically the same game in a different setting.

Since it's just your typical JRPG, I hope the story will be epic or at least good. Dang! I really need to finish their game 'I am Setsuna', especially this coming next year. Lost Sphear looks and feels the same with their previous game. Hopefully, there's an improvement or something. Square Enix is on a roll and their neverending publishing of JRPGs. Also, can't wait for Project Octopath.

It's pretty fitting Square Enix is the one making a game about memories and memory loss, given that has been their favourite plot tool since the beginning of time.

Argh... this gives me again "I am Setsuna" vibes (that is, boring, generic, overvalued, monotone-out-of-tempo piano sounding, unrefined chrono trigger rip-off "homage" wannabe)... I think I am skipping it, I already fell for the boring-snow-monothematic one.

My feeling exactly. Just from watching the trailer I feel like I've already played through every segment I saw in another game before.

I think it looks very charming, I dunno what it'd take to please some of you goons. I'll probably pick it up on steam for cheap and enjoy myself for a day or two playing it

I Am Setsuna looked charming, too, but it was monotonous and very boring to play. I think the detractors on this thread are speaking of their past experience with a Tokyo RPG Factory game, since Lost Sphear looks very much in the same vein as I Am Setsuna.

They just made the huge mistake to advertise Setsuna as a Chrono Trigger style game, bringing back the golden 16bit Era Rpgs that many people miss and would prefer over Ff15 action rpg styles any day. What came out was a bland, repetitive, uninspired title and the lost sphear, by using the same engine, looks exactly like more of the same. I'll be definitely not getting this.
