i played abit of it back on ds.
i never got into it, good game though.

it was very much loved, i will have the chance to try it on the switch.

oh its already over..
thought there would be more to show, like some stated there are quite alot of ports.

but as long as they run fine, YS for example will be fantastic on the switch.

hyrule warriors definite edition and mario tennis aces are a must buy. Maybe even kirby too. But I could'nt care less about the other 'new' games...especially dark souls, unless they fix the difficulty curve, add a compass and quest menu. The whole dying and the game instantly gets a difficulty increase is bull shit. I don't see why everyone has a boner for it. Definitely the most over hyped and over rated game series of the last decade besides monster hunter

If you make these changes to DS1, you'll disappoint all the fans of the original games who actually like these mechanics.
It's the eternal assisted game versus old school vibe debate here. DS3 would probably fit your needs more.

Otherwise this direct was just missing the smash 4 port announcement, but heh, still some pretty good things. Once it gets release ill finally be able to retire my Wii U <3

Never really fancied DS graphics... even the GB/GBA era and style was better

If you watch the direct again you can clearly see graphics have been updated... Them opening with that game made me really excited, but the rest was really lack luster. Here's hoping 2018 brings more NEW games to the switch, not a bunch of re-releases or ports of already existing games.

how do you assume 3 would be better? ds2 on the xb1 has the same crappy mechanics...at least i believe it does. i only ever tried ds2. even after reading a beginners i gave up after days of dying n getting lost. Never made it out of the forest. nope. series isnt for me and i wouldnt recommend to any one, hardcore casual or any one in between. to quote the original dk country team, "people love medicore games and we can't understand why"

anyways, they said DK is going to be apart of a second wave of dlc packs. does this mean the mario + rabbits will have a second season pass and a platuim edition later on?

We were all expecting Pokemon Switch, Metroid, Yoshi, new Joy-Cons, apps, themes, and more details about the online service, but eh, this is good too. Its only a mini direct. If we had a full blown 30-60 minute direct that showed off things we really wanted, all the excitement would cause an earthquake on the other side of the world. Joycon boyz go crayzay

I'm not a fan of the series? Sorry not everyone conforms to l33tG@m3r standards. I just don't have a lot of time to invest in a game I continuously die in, so I'd rather play something I can progress in without wanting to put a fist through my monitor.

i suspect nintendo split the original direct up into minies to keep fans wanting more. i assume another mini or two between now and the 1 year annual. With a bigger full blown direct around the 2nd or 3rd thrusday of march.
