Original xbox controller s repair help

I have a original Xbox controller s. All the bottons work except for the A button. I cleaned the controller but I don't know how to clean the contacts underneath the black pad where the face buttons are. Here is an example.

Where I circled red that's wherethe A button would be. Even before I took the controller apart the A button wasn't working.
