Oh, I also did a test. I took an old 16mb FAT32 drive I have, formatted it again to clean it, made a 'games' folder in the root directory, and tried that one....same result! Do I need to name the folder differently than when I load games using Nintendont? maybe something as simple as the settings? But I went through them all and didn't see anywhere you could choose which drive to load games from, either the SD or the USB.

Just load GameCube games directly from Nintendont.
Make sure your .iso file is in drive:\games\anyname [TITLEID]\game.iso
It must be named game.iso and not TITLEID.iso

You'll have best luck using an HDD rather than a flash drive.

Hey Guys, I just modded my Wii yesterday and I used all the recommended settings. USB Loader hasn't been working for me though. I keep getting the USB won't initialize with FAT32 formatted USBs loaded by Wii Backup Manager but interestingly enough if I format the USB with WBFS I can see the games but most of them boot to the black screen but I can hear the sound in the background! Pretty frustrating. Anyway, I am pretty stumped and would love any ideas.

Update: I went over from flash drives to an FAT32 external hard drive that plugs into the wall and now most of the games are loading up. I'm all good here.

You could try switching your IOS249 to v10-beta52. Beta53 can have issues with both Wii disc and emuNAND titles.

Are there any good SD loaders out there? Would like to use USB Loader GX, but it's USB only. I'm sorta stuck with CFG USB Loader, which I don't like. I also can't find any official downloads of WiiFlow.

I'd appreciate a little help. I have a Wii modded by a friend of mine, but it's been a long time for him and he can't remember everything. The Wii he gave me had an external HD, that I think was formatted to WFBS. It had a lot of games on it. Since this Wii is mostly for my 4 year old son, I wanted to remove some of the games that are not appropriate for him yet. So I took the hard drive out and connected to my PC, where I used Wii Backup Manager to backup all the games from the HD, removed all the games from the HD, and then transferred over only the ones I wanted. After connecting it back to the Wii, it doesn't seem like the drive is recognized or something. I select configurable usb loader from the Wii Menu, the screen goes black for about 5 seconds and then the system returns to the Wii menu.

I'm not sure I did much to the system and it was working fine before I removed the HD. I'd appreciate it if someone call help me work this out.
Thanks

Now, I'm no expert on Wii Backup Manager, but couldn't you just directly delete all the roms and saves for inappropriate games? That would be a lot easier. Also, if you're using an HDD, use USB Loader GX. It's much better. The only reason you would want to use CFG USB Loader is if you wanted to load games from SD.

I'm not even sure how to do that. I used Wii Backup Manager because the friend who gave me the Wii suggested it. As I said earlier, it worked fine before I did any of this.

Also I've already moved the games around, so I don't have the option to "directly delete all the roms and saves".

If your Wii boots to the system menu it's not bricked. Your report looks fine except you have IOS 249 based on IOS37, it should be 56 or 57.

You need to post what loader you're using at least and assuming you backed your own games up they should be verified already if you used CleanRip or verifiable with Wii Backup Manager otherwise.

Use ModMii to build a WAD for it. You want the one labeled "24956" or "24957" that's on the cIOS page. It's best to go ahead and install three at once: 249[56], 250[57] and 251[58]. That should cover almost any Wii title. If something doesn't work on 56, try 57, then 58. Most stuff works fine with 56. Some, like the Call of Duty series, Just Dance, etc., require 57.

Try installing patched IOS80.

patched ios80 has nothing to do with USB loading. Try running a syscheck log to see if you have the proper cios installed (refer to the post above by Greywolf)
If yes then it is either a
1. game file placement - use WiiBackupManager to transfer Wii iso to HDD with proper folder and filename structures
2. partition format - use Fat32 for best compatibility especially if you want to run GC games or other homebrewa
3. HDD compatibility issue, try another HDD

I need help please!!! and forgive my limited techno lingo.
I recently modded my wii, and I am completely new to this. I have the homebrew channel, d2x Cios V10, nintendont, wii64, yawm, usb loader gx (and forwarder) and wiiflow installed. The wii64 works, and I have several Gamecube iso's on a 32gb sandisk cruzer, formated to fat32 32kb partition, that play perfectly on Nintendont, but niether USB Loader GX nor wiiflow will recognize them. I have one wii ISO Mario Kart Wii (located in a wbfs folder) on my USB that I installed via wii backup manager and both USB loader GX and Wiiflow see the game and tell me it is accessible. When I click on the disk to play the game, the screen turns black and the wiimote turns off. I've got several wii games that I have tried to load onto the USB via both usb loader gx and wiiflow, but they either freeze or go to black screen. What am I missing? I've tried re-installing the d2x cios, formatting the USB to wbfs using wbfs manager, but nothing is working. Please tell me this is a simple fix.
