Howdy guys,

I recompiled MAME Wii 1.0 against newer devkitPRO et al. libraries in order to get support for new model Wiimotes. There are no code changes, mind a few trivial patches to get the thing compiled.

Here is the full app, compiled against devkitPPC r27: http://ass.kameli.org/sdlmame-wii_11.txz

I'm hoping members of this forum could help with:

* Testing this against regressions from 1.0
* Push this as default to wherever it needs to be to download via Homebrew browser app (granted nobody finds regressions)
* Suggest a place where to push the trivial patches required for compiling

If you find a regression, please test with this version (compiled against devkitPPC r26) first to see if the same problem reproduces: http://ass.kameli.org/sdlmame-wii_11-r26.txz

Cheers.

edit: Added r26 version.

That's my server running in my bedroom. I've heard lately it's blocked on this-and-that security thing, but so far none of them have provided any explanation, reasonable or otherwise, why this might be.

Awwww I was expecting better compatibilty. :c
It's really appreciated though, makes me want to buy a fully integration Motion Plus Wiimote instead of having one with the separate lockon hardware.

Dat compression extension tho. :P

Thanks for this refreshment, Koston. One little advice: devkitPPC r27 is known to cause regressions and performance issues. Try r26.

BTW, would it be too much to ask to maybe include libwupc support in there?

I would be grateful if someone with trouble accessing kameli.org domain would send me some details of the issue. At least which vendor, software and version of anti-virus you're using. I know that most AV companies share their malware descriptions, but it would still be helpful to have something concrete since I don't use win32 family of operating systems and cannot reproduce the problem.

OK. I disabled my virus software and have them. still having issues uncompressing these
I now have "sdlmame-wii_11.txz.7z" which results in "sdlmame-wii_11 1.txz"
any notes on how to use these?

also is there a game file limit on this? can you build out one that has maybe a 500 and an unlimited one/10,000 with side -scrolling?
like this one here -> https://gbatemp.net/threads/is-there-a-way-to-remove-the-150-game-limit-on-wii-mame.347097/page-3
:)

also I need to get some good gun games working, but is there ever going to be wiimote support in the sense you could emulate the gun well? or is there already there?

thanks for your work on this!
now to get the files open...
I'll be more than happy to test this. Used to do this professionally until everything changed out there.
WiiMAME LIVES!!!

so does this version support the gun games with wiimote? or does 1.0 already do that?
still need to get them running...
main reason for doing this.

Thanks! I've been looking for this! :D
So... should I get sdlmame-wii_11.txz or sdlmame-wii_11-r26.txz?

P.S.: For anyone in trouble, you can open the .txz files (.tar.xz) using 7-Zip.
