Game&Watch (gw) is fixed in the latest nightly's.

For this to work you have to replace: 'sd:/retroarch/cores/gw_libretro.core' with the one included with the download.
If you are using my unofficial build, you can skip that and just update.

Neo Geo is suffering from the sound issue that hit your unofficial 1.4.1 build.

And for some reason, Metal Slug 3 has decided to freeze the menu when I pick "Load archive". It wasn't like this before.

I highly doubt the libretro team will accept this as an issue. But you could try to present it on the official git.
I personally have turned up the audio in settings and saved it as a core setting. I will not try to trace down the issue myself. Sorry.

And since XMB seems stable again, XMB with playlists is the way to go.

hello i installed retro arch 1.6.9 stable and loaded the ps1 emulator and it kept crashing before i even loaded a game

Without knowing anything else about your setup, the best advice is to use an older build. 1.3.3 is a stable version of PCSX. I don't know if it's available on the git anymore, but that's where you should check.

Upgrade to the latest nightly build.

Please, stop telling people to downgrade to an ancient version. The days those builds were better are long gone. They aren't available anymore and defenitly not supported.

The latest versions are stable as well. The crashing bug was fixed a few versions ago and the XMB menu was also fixed in nightlies.

I tried cranking up the volume in the latest build: it still sounds better on 1.4.1. I mean, if things worked just fine without changing anything before, why shouldn't they work now? And this goes for loading Metal Slug 3 also. Unfortunately it's stuff that probably won't get fixed soon, as the github stated not to bother with core issues, like you said.

As for XMB and playlists, I have reasons for not using them, even if they do work now.

I just wonder if old release can be downloadable on official site?
Versions older than 1.6.0 are vanished from official download site.

I can play the english translation of F-Zero Climax at full speed 60fps on the latest nightlies, with no graphical bugs or crashes, and no other GBA solution for the 3DS can play it at full speed. You should seriously just update instead of trying to find old version that are no longer supported.

but from my testing, the more recent gpsp, the more crashes.

Greetings to everyone on this thread. I'm hoping to find answers here.
I haven't tried the other emulators, but I've tried running Fuse, and failing at attempting to do so.
So, what I did was copy the Retroarch folder to SD card root, and only Fuse's database and core. Then, I copied over Fuse's 3dsx version on to the 3ds folder.

When I ran Jetpac through Fuse, I got the error below:
RetroArch [INFO] :: Does not have enough samples for monitor refresh rate estimation. Requires to run for at least 4096 frames.

This alien would love to experience this human culture you all seem to enjoy. Please help an intergalactic creature in seeing what you humans have to offer.

i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways

Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and using LLMs to generate NPC dialogue and even dynamically generated quests is something i'm sure is already happening

will just take some time for games made using those things to be completed and released
