[SPECULATION] How'll NX be good at system security

I mean -. the Nintendo 3DS has many exploits that can be used to pirate games, etc., and Wii U, not too much, but it still has some public ones that can be used for this same purpose.
Thing is, if we suppose that Nintendo is learning with their own errors, will the next Nintendo console be completly impenetrable?

It will be an Android platform so it will get a custom firmware before it's even released.
It will be always-online and require daily firmware checks and snyc in order to work.
It will fail so bad it will be recalled from shelves and buried in a landfill in New Mexico, Atari ET - style.
It will only become cracked in 20 years when retro gaming fans start working on it, just like what happened with the Virtual Boy.

Any OS written from scratch isn't going to be good at security due to the lack of testing compared to more mature ones that have been around for decades, XBOne is still untouched because of that.

Nintendo doesn't really like licensing someone else's code that are way more solid than what they can come up with on their own for some reason.

Remember, all are hackable. It might take time for some consoles to be hackable because some are harder than other. Again, none can prevent the hack at all. Everything are hackable no matter what.

But they could make it so tough to crack that no one would bother to release their hacks publicly to (hacking a console isn't as rewarding/lucrative as breaking a widely used OS), and that's exactly what Ninty wants.

Yes, but look at PS3 and it took about 4 years to crack it. Yeah, the hackers was stubborn and succeed it. I believe NX will be hackable easy like PS4.

Only took a year before the PS3 got hacked.
Sony removed OtherOS and hackers brought it back.
Why? cause hackers already had what they wanted, Linux on a console.
Why hack a console when you already have the capabilities of running a custom OS on it?

A console gets hacked cause people want their own OS/code on it.
With exceptions for the PS2, consoles aren't getting hacked for piracy.

Wii U and 3DS on the other hand are in a different age.
Android devices are extremely common, can be flashed with custom roms and are rivaled by Raspis.
Basically, hackers have resorted to those devices and only the enthusiasts are left with the consoles.

On one hand, Nintendo learns from their mistakes on the previous generation.
On the other, more complex, modern machines have a larger surface area for attacks.

I just hope they include 3ds backwards compat in some fashion. That'll keep the scene going until a native exploit is found.
