Some items has 00 (or 00 00) in their offsets.
So we need to shift.

For example
Imagine your last item has this offset: 78 97 00
If you inject the code (the one in the first post) one the last 00 you see, you could corrupt the bag.

So instead of
78 97 C0 E5 4E E0 E5 4E 00 E6 4E 20 E6 4E 40 E6 4E (While thinking 00 is not from an item)
It should be
78 97 00 C0 E5 4E E0 E5 4E 00 E6 4E 20 E6 4E 40 E6 4E
Or even
78 97 00 00 C0 E5 4E E0 E5 4E 00 E6 4E 20 E6 4E 40 E6 4E
(Because maybe 78 is the last offset from the 2nd last item, and the offset for the very last item is 97 00 00).

And tried a thousand ways, to inject, but when loading the games crash and the console is turned off, use the saves from asia81 work, but I do not want all the items, I want to play a new game only with the costumes. Help!

Thanks, this worked for me, but the instructions aren't perfect!

It took me like, 7 tries to get it right because there is something you might add to make the instructions even more clear: You're not supposed to just copy and paste the code -> you have to replace the code that's already there. I didn't know I needed to do this - I just clicked my cursor onto the blank spot and hit paste. If you do that a prompt comes up informing you you'll increase the size of the file or something. I thought that was par for the course, but no. Make sure to highlight the data, and then overwrite it when you're inside the editor program.

In other words, make sure the prompt that says you're about to increase the size of the file (or whatever) does NOT come up, or else it won't work.

i was wondering how you found the hex values for item id's using HxD? im trying to find a way of hacking other items into the game like the japanese exclusive weapons, buns, and all other items, but am having difficulty finding any info on how to do this online and i have only little knowlege of how hacking codes works. i have found item codes in other games but not for the 3DS and it seems that the 2 methods of gateshark and NTR codes are very different and neither of them use the same values as HxD so i dont know what to do.

i guess what im asking is could you tell me what the item values are or where i can find them? or where i should look to start learning how to use NTR debugger?

whenever I put in the code in for the outfits I get it to work but when I go in-game to try and equip the outfits they show up as a black square with no name. is there any way to get it to show up as the actual outfits?

Hey when i put this string into my save, it sets Tiz to level 0 and the game crashes on load. I haven't made any progress, so nothing is at risk, i'm just trying to figure out what i am doing wrong.

EDIT: Found the problem, i was just pasting the code in, needed to highlight the right number of values then paste.

Apologies for the necro, but I'm trying to do this and my Google-fu hasn't turned up any other guides.

However, the pictures with the guide are broken, and I'm worried about attempting this since at one point the guide literally says to refer to the pictures. I'd appreciate any help with this before I go corrupting my save. (There may not even be a point to doing it, actually, given how close to the end I am already.)

More to the point, though...based on what I understand of the method, it sounds like the costumes are in the game code already, not DLC that has to be added. That being the case, shouldn't it be possible to add the items to my inventory with an Action Replay or similar, rather than manual save editing? And, if so, does anyone know what codes would be needed to do so?

And yes, items' codes are coded in the game, you can add them with cheat code but afaik there is none.
