How do i change the file names on my hard drive automatically when i just converted it from WBFS to FAT32?
select your drive and check the tools available under it (not the tools from the top menu bar)

If you have read previous posts, then make sure you don't enable "Allow permanent changes to Wii disc header" in settings->Titles.

In settings->Fat32/NTFS, set Folder layout to be "Store files in separate sub-folders" and Naming style to "Title [GameID]" if they are not set as so. This is the format that all modern usbloaders support.

Thanks, i tried that but the folder names are still the same on my hard drive??

On my Hard Drive theres a folder called "wbfs" Then in that are all my games with the folders of my games that are names like this: "Xenoblade Chronicles [SX4E01]" And in that are the actual games that are named: "SX4E01.wbf1" "SX4E01.wbfs"

Is that what it's supposed to look like or did i do something wrong?

yes, it's supposed to look exactly like that, WBFS2FAT is using the proper filename and path for USB Loaders when converting a WBFS partition.

wbfs/game title [GameID 6 digits]/GAMEID6.wbfx

with "x" being s (wbfs) then 1, 2, etc. if the game requires more files.
as it's on FAT32, the game is split in multiple part if the game's data is bigger than 4GB. that's totally normal, and works fine with all USBLoaders.

usb:/wbfs/Xenoblade Chronicles [SX4E01]/SX4E01.wbfs
etc.

It's possible to change that path layout using WiiBackupManager, but I wouldn't recommend it, as this one is the default layout working on all USBLoaders.

not booting is another issue.
We might have to look into it, but not right now (have to go to work). we will see later.
until then, please tell us as much as you can (version of loader, of cIOS, wii, wiiu, hdd, y-cable, etc.)

Thank you, no rush!

I just converted the hard drive from WBFS to Fat32, I wanted to do that so i can play Gamecube games on my Wii as well.

I just uploaded a Syscheck on my Wii to dropbox if you want to see all the details: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dhxofrotnt21x5o/sysCheck.csv?dl=0

It worked before I converted the hard drive to Fat32. I haven't updated anything in Years if that's the problem? I'm not sure how to do that?

I just wanted to play Wii + Gamecube games on my Wii :(

it's possible that the loader still has "wbfs" in it's cache. when you try to launch the game from FAT32 it's still triggering the WBFS driver.
you might have to force a partition remount : settings > hdd settings > click on the first item on the list to force a partition refresh.

it's also possible that it's not the issue, but sometime it could be just that.

your syscheck :
IOS222[38 Info: her ES Identif NAND Ac USB 2.0
IOS223[38 Info: her ES Identif NAND Ac USB 2.0
IOS249[38 ES Identif NAND Ac USB 2.0
IOS250 (re ES Identif NAND Ac USB 2.0
BC v6
MIOS v10
Report generated on 03/29/2017.

Your IOS in slot 249 is based on IOS38.
I couldn't see which version you have, but you should replace it anyway so you are sure to have latest and correct version.

What you need :
slot249 : d2x cIOS v8 final, base 57

OR, the common setup:
249 : d2x cIOS v8 final, base56
250 : d2x cIOS v8 final, base57

the default slot is 249 for USBLoaders. it will use a "base 56" which is very slightly faster than base57 (you might not even see a difference in load time).
base 57 has better compatibility than 56.

So, either you install base57 in slot 249
OR
you install both but set "slot 250" in your USBLoader settings as default slot.
that's a little unnecessary steps. but it's like you want.

the syscheck log is just a tab delimited text file. It is much easier to copy & paste the text here in spoiler tag.
cios 249 is rev17, way too old for modern uses. You have to update it as Cyan suggested.
cios 250 doesn't have any useful info at all, chances are it need to be update as well

Thank you, but still have a problem!

I downloaded the link you sent me and extracted it into my apps folder on my sd card.

When i go to the homebrew menu, i can't see the v8 cIOS to install?

did you extract it to your /app/ folder, or did you extract it INSIDE a subfolder in your /app/ folder?
and did you kept ALL the folder structure?

DO NOT EXTRACT only the "8" folder, you need everything.

You have to put homebrew inside a subfolder with other subfolders:

SD:/apps/d2x installer/ <extract here> all the files AND the folders.
you need 3 folders named "7" , "8" and "10"

apps/installer/boot.dol
apps/installer/meta.xml
apps/installer/icon.png
apps/installer/iosmaps.xml
apps/installer/7/
apps/installer/8/
apps/installer/10/

Then from the homebrew channel, select "cIOS d2x installer"
from that homebrew, press A to access the installer menu.
select (with d-pad up/down and left/right) :

what : d2x v8 final
where : 249
base : 57
version : 21008

and press A to install from network (you need a wifi connection)
after install, press home to exit.

Thank you so much! I finally got time to give it another try and this works perfectly!

So now all my Wii games work again, how do i play gamecube games?

Thanks again for the help!!!

1. with a game disc : load USBLoaderGX and insert the game (official or burned if your console is compatible with burned ones) and select install
2. with ISO or wbfs : Use Wii Backup Manager.

in the "file" tab, select the folder where the ISO (or rar) are located on your computer
in "drive1" tab, select the partition letter of your Wii HDD
in "file" tab, select (checkbox) the game you want to put on your Wii HDD, then select the option "Transfer to...." and pick "Drive1"

Did you set up Nintendont in USBLGX? Also did you check the category filter for GameCube games from the top button in USBLGX?

I think it might be Nintendont's problem... I cant run it at all on my wii. IT says:

WARNING: USB FAT device could not be opened.

The Disc Drive could not be initialized.

Then it closes :(

your HDD is FAT32 ? or exFAT (though, exFat is now compatible with nintendont it's not with USBLoaderGX)

before being a nintendont problem, you should still be able to list the game in USBGX to even start and launch nintendont.
To display gamecube games in the loader, the option is in the 4th icon of the top menu.

OKAY I FIXED IT!

I just had to rename the games to "game" NOT "game.iso"

They should really change that lol...

I knew it was weird renaming an iso to a file that is already iso lol...

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Now that i see the games in USB loader gx.. I have another problem :(

"Error:
Nintendont requires AHB access! Please Launch USBLoaderGX from HBC or from an updated channel or forwarder."
