its been a like 8 years since shooter and 4 years since escape so I figured I should combine it into a quick little single player, score attack on rails starfox clone. So far I only have the explosions and camera working.

stuff I am goona put in;
- no power ups
- no charge shot
- no homing
- infinite bombs ( with 5 second delay )
- infinite ammo, 1 weapon
- 20 levels (mostly asteroid fields, on flat planet, on hilly planet, over blue water, over red water )
- controllers; wiimote sideways, classic and gamecube controls (no pointer)
- online scoreboard

Any suggestions are welcomed, I am trying to keep this one short and sweet so I can release it in January 2018. If you are good at making lowpoly obj, short mp3 loops etc. I am gonna be using the old models and lots of squares, lol. Not gonna use background images unless people really want them.

Game is complete!

Currently playing around with lighting on the asteroid field level. By this evening I will put in the procedural generated code so that every time you play the stage all the objects/enemies will be in the same location (so no randomness) making it easier to to get familiar with the stage. Every stage will have a different colour. Right now all I have are asteroid field levels but ground/planet surface levels will be in place soon.

Landscape in place with water and skybox. These do not have collision as yet because I am having a little issue with the fog levels.

I am going to have about roughly 100 stages max. altough that might be too much. what do yall think is the optimum length for a level? especially considering that there will be no end boss in a stage. the stages in lylat wars are 4 minutes on average consisting of about a minute long boss fight. so I am guessing 1 and half minutes should be good.

Today I am working on;

1. raising the water level in some stages to make them water worlds. ( water doesn't really affect your ship but its and interesting look )
2. stages will be shorter if you put the game on easy, longer if its played on hard. Ship will fly 2 x faster on hard. Not sure if I should put a speed boost + bomb button.
3. Randomize option for levels. There are a 100 stages so the random option will allow you to play them in a random order (for those people who would probably never get to play it all the way through).
4. Flying enemies will try to kamikazi the player after a couple seconds to keep you on your toes.
