When I want to launch a WiiVC injected game, like the ones that can be created with TeconMoon's WiiVC injector or UWUVCI the Wii U will prompt me on whether I want to use the Wii U gamepad or not.
When selecting the gamepad option the game launches with the wii u gamepad as player 1 and any other controller compatible with nintendont will be sorted to one of the other player slots. This prevents me from using the wii u pro controller as my primary controller.

The workaround for this is to launch the game without the wii u gamepad, which causes the console to prompt me to pair a Wii controller with it. After launching the game with the wii controller the wii u pro controller gets sorted to the player 1 slot.

The annoying thing about this workaround is that it requires the use of a wii controller. I would like to be able to launch the game without having a paired wii controller at hand. Is there a workaround for this? Maybe some option I've overlooked? An aroma plugin that can emulate wii u pro controllers as wii controllers? Having to replace or recharge batteries in a Wii controller that I'm only using to launch gamecube games seems kind of scuffed and I'd like to streamline that process.

Thanks! I just discovered that plugin on the appstore and came back to this thread to post a link to it in case anyone else has the same problem and saw that you already posted it. WiiVC Launch does have an autolaunch option that makes the wii remote obsolete if one just uses it to start the game.

Is it possible to inject the Resident Evil 4 Wii Version game and use the Wii U Pro Controller or another Bluetooth controller with Bloopai??? And is the Gamecube controller possible too??? I've already tried to inject the Gamecube version to play with the Gamecube controller, but the game gets a black screen and won't start.

not just through the gamepad because the Wii injects on the Wii U work naturally without a loader, unlike the Gamecube which contains a Nintendot loader.

The only way I see that would work is if someone creates a Wii loader like Nintendont with the folder to emulate the controls with the inis with support for several controls
and a new injector so that you can make Wii games open directly through this loader just like Nintendont does. This is what makes the most sense, but in this case, someone would have to be willing to develop this. Even on a Wii, the Wii U Pro controls, just like on Nintendont, also work.

I've been thinking about this, if the Nintendont can do this, just someone do this on the Wii loaders, as well as the USB loader GX, for example, modifying it and adding this option to emulate the controls through it, so the Wiiu Pro controls would work in games both on one real wii as in vwii or inject wiivc for wii u as well as some wii emulators also work the wiiu pro controller as if it were a classic controller like wiistation for example resolved many problems on homebrews app controllers support too

For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.

I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.

I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
