What's the point of using the forwarder? In my test the speed is the same, also i don't know if it is updated to latest core
It doesnt matter anyways, i tried both ways and at least to me, who am not an expert by any means in the matter, Seems that the game is not compatible in many ways, I could not make the memory card to work, and even if outside of battle works like a charm, as soon as i get a battle it get stucks during the transition, So my method to make it works isnt wort jack....So...My bad, If you van make it work id love to be told how : D

Do you happen to know if psx drain the 3ds battery faster? Im under that impression
I did some test, i'm using FF8 italian release, i got some minor graphical issue, but the game is looking fine to me, i saved the game, also i won a battle. The save file working fine. I'm using a retroarch build on 3ds of a couple of months ago.
As i said, just use last retroarch build. (BTW, i guess are we talking about n3ds/n2ds, i'm right?)
The battery goes down fast, psx emulation is pushing hardware to get the job done.

Huuuu hoho, i like what i see, im gona do that today, retroarch built it is, Good thing i know the same so good that i can play it in any language and know exactly whats going on and what is what...except japanese but italian i can kinda understand 75%,

Yes yes, the N3DS, i play chrono cross and the batery runs dry fast, Good to hear is not an issue with my 3ds but a common thing when you play psx in a console that wasnt designed for it,

Question, I dont need eboots in retoarch right? just regular .bin or .iso?

If you open the compatibility list you will find all usefull information about compatibility, i wrote a lote about performance configuration. Usually you have to convert to chd for better load speed.

I will do, i apreciate the help mate, FF8 is my third favourite game of all time, i know that having it on 3ds is mostly a novelty but it feels close to home

Final fantasy 8 is great with his flaws, i completed once and is enough.
Set video sync to off, it should be enough. If not, see compatibility list or post here.
3ds will not keep up with most high demanding psx games, but a lot of arcade games works fine, rpg are good since fps is not a must, most 3d action games are not worth to me, the screen sometimes is too small, the speed option lay down the graphics of the games...
But the 3ds some times is like a treasure chest, gba games, ds and 3ds are a lifetime library. All other emulated console are a plus, the console is very pocket and with 128gb of storage a lot of games will fit. On my switch i have like... 5 or 6 games with 128 gb of storage.

I just tried Legend of Dragoon PBP (all discs) on my 3DS, seems to crash on opening. I created the CIA via PS1 Forwarder

Vanguard Bandits seems to work flawlessly!

Cia maker is outdater and kind of pointless to me.
Use regular stable retroarch, it should work fine.

i prefer having all my games on home screen, 3DS also is not compatible perfectly with all my ps1 games, tahts why I have a PSP Go for PS1 and PSP games, and 3DS for everyhting else :)

It's a mess 🤣
Okay, most psx games should work on psp so you're fine. I think you probabily have a smartphone. Most smartphone can out performance 3ds and psp, so you can play games there xD

ya, with the new Delta Emulator on iPhone, my current iPhone 14 Pro can do NDS, GBA, N64, and even 3DS perfectly lol! And PSP is under beta as well as PS1

soon, i won't need any of my consoles lol

Reporting back on Mega Man Legends 2: Pretty stable 30 FPS. Only major dips at transition areas (right in front of the store at Yosyonke City is an example) and boss fights.

Pretty impressive overall. It’s about as close as we’ll ever get to Mega Man Legends 3 on 3DS (always too soon).

@BigOnYa, and since the default emulator is below average i downloaded some "replacements" like snes9x for snes games for example
    +1
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
And I also have my ps3
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea ps3 is a beast still to today compared to most "sticks"
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If you just want pi for emulation no point when Anbernic releases new shit every two seconds
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
What's really cool about Pi's tho is you can have multiple SD cards with different OS on each SD card and change from say a gaming machine to a full fledged pc if wanted
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Plus all bios are set up and usually includes at least 128gbs or 64
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.
    +1
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    ack my throat
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I need to invest in some storage totes tbh
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Tots?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Tootles
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Tootles? Wtf
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Oh tootles
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Oh totes , lol, like Tupperware storage, I gotcha
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
