admittedly I don't know who that last character is, so I can't get the joke (can someone explain?)
but great art style as always, so detailed, great aesthetics :D good job!
ps: I thought the joke was going to be about the Sonic movie lol
It's My Neighbour Totoro. I thought the same thing about the movie lol

I recognize Totoro and the spinning top gimmick from Sonic, but I never watched Totoro, so I still don't really get the joke. It's very well drawn though, good job either way.

I guess totoro decided to get high first? xD

No demerit to other collaborators, but you make the best comics, so much work in every corner, love your work!
Keep up!

Btw got allmost all studio ghibli movies, remastered bluray rips 10gb each, as a valuable thing to pass on...
Studio ponoc movies seem to be heading in the same direction.

I'd like to see you draw better. It is a lot harder than it looks even with a tenth as much detail
Sorry, dear Quantumcat, but your post needs to be moderated for bickering. Just joking. I agree with you, there's a lot of work in this (especially the first frame, amazing!). Of course, someone's not going to get the joke, if he doesn't know the reference. I didn't get it either until it was explained. Cultural backgrounds dictate how such a joke is perceived. But I appreciate it all the same.

You should watch My Neighbor Totoro. It's a great movie, well worth watching.
It's by Studio Ghibli, who also made Spirited Away which you might have heard about, that might be their most popular movie, also great.
Some backstory: Studio Ghibli have been making anime movies since the 70s, and are famous these days for making consistently great movies that anyone can enjoy, not just kids. The animation quality is high, the story is consistently great across their movies, and they are just plain enjoyable to watch.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I tried making chocolate lava cakes the other day in cupcake pan, what a mess, my lava exploded out of the cakes everywhere while baking, was still ok tho, just no lava inside.

We had our grandkids over yesterday and I got a small above ground swimming pool I filled for them to play in. Well today I woke to find 3 ducks swimming around in it. Don't mind really but they are annoyingly loud, quack quack. Gotta drain it today. Guess what were having for dinner, lol.

I used butter instead of vegetable oil, and think that's why they squirted out during baking, who knows
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah i think oil is the right call

  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
plus if you're making brownies or lava cakes for people with dairy allergies, you should use oil instead of butter anyway

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I make rum cake for 4th July every year, I make it a week prior and then soak it in rum in the fridge all week. I flip the cake each day, and add little more rum, it soaks it up everyday, so good.
