Any alternatives? (Btw I DON'T WANT 2 BUY A JIG)
Did you pay any attention to the link I provided? Or are you out of tinfoil to?

But even then... Buying a jig for a few bucks is the better option. Paperclips, staples, screwdrivers and tinfoil as a jig is a major risk for shorts and leads to

Or see it pop up on ebay "Gently used Switch for sale, Right rail not working. Staples included."

If it wasn't for this thread, I wouldn't know that in addition to frying your console it's also possible to only fry your joycon rail. Out of curiosity, how can that happen? I went with paperclip method the first time and I got it right the second time, saw that my Switch really isn't patched and now I'm waiting for a jig to arrive.

chances of frying the switch w/ paperclip?

also nobody i know owns a 3d printer
Frying, not likely, You just need to bridge the end pins on opposite sides, so you can just bend it to the same width as the slot.
The concern is not so much frying as it is damaging the pins. Luckily, replacement rails are not expensive.
With tinfoil however, which is the other method some people have used, frying is a real risk since you have little control over what pins get bridged and bridging power to the wrong thing could easily fry something. So don't use that.
Just realized i don't own paperclips, can I use two staples from a stapler to make contact?
You can use one, if you can bend it into the right shape without stabbing yourself. You'll probably stab yourself. I stab myself constantly when I'm working on stuff. I stab myself with tiny screwdrivers, I stab myself with SIM eject tools, I stab myself with soldering tin. It's just part of the hobby. But I digress :P

I don't want to stab myself, can I use two (one on each end connected to eachoter and with tape to avoid them from disconnecting to each other) to fusee gulee?

Maybe? Provided you understand the risks of potentially damaging your Switch in process, give it a try and report back. Plenty of people pointed out that buying a cheap jig is your safest possible method, but it seems you already made up your mind? Good luck!

@SylverReZ, atleast the 1999 versión of pico's school is avaliable (the difference between it, the 2006 versión and the 2016 versión is that the speed of the game depends of the speed of your computer and that it had the og soundtrack)

@Xdqwerty, Another being Pico VS Bear, the original 1999 version before Jim Henson filed a DMCA takedown.

@SylverReZ, although the "secrets" system where the game was has been removed. Also pico vs uberkids had a netplay versión that was shutdown, although the swf file has been found
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Nope. There are two download buttons on the same page, where you can download the original under a file called "bear.exe". "bear2.exe", however, is the updated game in a Flash projector. P.s. this was on the archived Pico page from 2000.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
