Great news, DeepSea updated to version 4.0.0 including the latest Atmosphere (1.3.0) and Hekate (5.7.2).

This update will allow you to play on firmware 14.0.0, which added and changed a bunch of stuff in the background. The most notable change for you is the ability to create folders in the "all apps" menu!

It is huge for us as it comes with a massive facelift of all our assets. Banner, logos, icons and texts were all updated on Github, Discord and our homebrews. We love the new design and we hope that you do too. This wouldn't have been possible without @sodasoba1 , who invested his time and patience with us to deliver incredible artwork. Please show him some love!

The update also includes a lot of changes to our build script to make it faster, more efficient and more reliable. Its now linked to our twitter account (https://twitter.com/TeamNeptuneNX) so if you are more active over there, you will always be notified when a new release drops (and maybe about other secret stuff 👀). This is the groundwork for other things that we can now take care of in the very near future. We are really excited for what things are about to happen!

And as you guys know, we always want to improve the experience you guys have. No matter if its helping each other here on discord, including/removing homebrews from our packages or even writing entirely new homebrews. We always want your feedback and make DeepSea the best it can be. If you have an idea or a suggestion, please never shy away from writing us a message :)

As always, thank you guys for your massive support!

I updated to 14.0.0 using the latest Deep Sea advanced package, but when booting I got an error about title ID "010000000000bd00", which is MissionControl.
I updated that title within the /contents/ folder of Atmosphere using the current beta of MissionControl 0.6.5 linked here:
https://github.com/ndeadly/MissionControl/issues/439#issuecomment-1078589731

And that fixed the boot problem.
I am not sure if the latest Deep Sea package included that version of MissionControl, it could very well have been some leftover data from a previous installation of it, but I wanted to post it here in case Deep Sea still uses 0.6.4 (which is not compatible with Atmos 1.3.0)

EDIT:
Well, looks like MissionControl got updated today to 0.7.0, which supports Atmos 1.3.1:
https://github.com/ndeadly/MissionControl/releases/tag/v0.7.0

Just saw Deep Sea got updated to 4.1.0.
Any specific reason why MissionControl got removed from the package?
MissionControl 0.7.0 did add suport for firmware 14.1.0 and Atmos 1.3.1, so it should be compatible.

We noticed that missioncontrol was broken, updated our package and then missioncontrol updated right after.
They had like 2 weeks to fix their release and we cant wait for every single sysmodule to be updated. Its just unfortunate that they did right after we (temporarily) kicked it out.

Hi, I'm glad to see DeepSea is on the scene now! I haven't updated my switch for about 2 years now and just getting back in. It's a patched 4.01 Switch running Pegascape and Caffeine. I followed a tutorial on changing over from Kosmos to DeepSea and everything works fine until Caffeine reboots; it automatically tries to load Atmosphere without going into Hekate and then goes to black screen. I can reset my Switch so it's back to OFW, but how do I have it load into Hekate instead of Atmosphere directly? Everything is loaded in EMUMMC as well so would that cause any issue when accessing Atmosphere?

Update: I got it to load Hekate but even when I select EMUMMC, it still goes to a black screen afterwards. Any suggestions?

Update 2: Decided to do a clean install and got it working; seems like trying to update from my old version of Kosmos caused the issue. Deepsea looks amazing!

Hi, I just installed DeepSea, I don't see any problem so far but I don't understand on how to download from gdrive. I see TinWoo Installer but whenever I click it it doesn't start.

edit: it's working now, problem was applet mode. Any idea on how to link a gdrive account?

I all! I'm a new member and I would like to update firmware and atmosphere on my switch and I would like to use Deepsea 4.2.0 package to do it. In my switch there is already a Deepsea package but at today some games need firmware version 14.1.2. About this I have the following doubts:
1) do I have to update first firmware or Deepsea 4.2.0 package?
2) to update it, can I follow this guide switch.homebrew.guide/usingcfw/manualupgrade?

Thanks a lot for your support!

Bye

AIO switch updater is included with deepsea. Use that to update deepsea to the latest version and then you can use the same tool to update your switch. No need to do anything else.

Looking at the frequency of recent releases, you'll probably have to wait until July

...or just move on and update Atmosphere, Hekate and the homebrew you need yourself, whenever you want, without relying on some half-assed AIO package that is just another one of many no one asked for

DeepSea is usually updated, tested & released within 24h of Atmosphere releasing (or going out of pre-release). You can get the latest version supporting 16.0.0 on GitHub

The previous releases took so long because nothing required an update and we usually try to keep everything running. With FW updates it's always a gamble when sysmodules, homebrews or overlays update and we test everything on multiple switches and with multiple firmware versions to make sure it always works. Not just that but we also provide support for everything related to the switch (sdsetup links point to us for example).

Some people like Wurstpistole just hate cause they have nothing better to do, otherwise they would engage with something constructive instead of just hating 😅

But it's okay, we will continue helping people no matter what
