You all know of the ability of PS4‘s on firmware version 1.76 to run Homebrew and backups, well it seems that this method will be coming to PS4‘s on firmware version 4.55, here is a video from super scene developer @flatz:

Woah, hold my jacket. I need to get this running on my ps4. I've been babysitting that 4.55 fw. for WAY too long now.

Yeah I didn't read that far into the first post right away. All this is is just a theoretical. I mean it's kind of a useless thing to share. Anybody can infer that homebrew and backup loading is possible with an exploit.

However knowing the PS4 scene... it'll take 2-3 years before a Kexploit is released for 4.55 etc.

How many times we have to read that something is coming,half year later and still nothing.
Its nice poc that its real,but thats all for many years i think,probably just like wiiu at the end of life they release it.
They just keep it private,and who's gona have the balls to release now a major exploit for ps4??

Yeeeeah I'm gonna go with "I highly doubt it". There have been like 4 or 5 different people "claiming" to have backups and homebrew running on XYZ firmware on Playstationhax, it's an utterly unreliable site and should never be trusted until other, more legitimate sources can confirm.

Neat. 4.55 is definitely more readily available than 1.76, so that's nice.
