Is there a place to get ips patches for other the Pokemon games? Specifically the no outlines and instant text ones for XY, ORAS and SM?

is there a patch that makes the game harder?
Turn off experience share.... The games are already harder than Sun and moon. If you're using Pokémon you caught in game and aren't over leveled it definitely gives you a run for your money. That's obviously not going to be true if you're using a BR/over leveled team on a playthrough.

Even with bred Pokémon, the better trainers (Ace trainers, Veterans, late-game Hau, etc.) can keep you on your toes as long as you're not grossly overleveled. A 1-3 gap in either direction is ideal for USUM, I'd say. (5 is pushing it unless your team's stats are just that bad.)

Hell, I went through all of Poni Island and the E4 slightly underleveled, and it was one of the best vanilla experiences I've had. Ended the champion battle with 2 Pokémon left.

That said, if you want the entire game to be more difficult across the board, wait for Dio Vento's next hacks.

Do these patches work for old 3ds? I've installed them to my titleid folder, both the shiny ips files in there and enabled ips patch on luma and nothing is working

Yes they work. Proper folder structure: SD:/luma/titles/titleID/code.ips

Replace titleID with Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon's title ID and place the respective .ips file in the titleID folder, and rename it code.ips. Only have one ips patch in the folder and make separate folders in your titles folder, one for US and one for UM.

Do you have a code.ips with both the alwaysshinygornotshinylock, and the shinylock removal, I can't seem to figure out how to combine them, doesn't work for me

I tried both, Python won't load at all during installation, waited a while, and the second one as I said before, tells me to pay for an app that is needed for it to open
Weird. I guess when I get off work, I'll make that one for you because of your particular case. But I wont be home until 5:00 which is a few more hours.

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
