Tutorial  Updated

Install .nsp files (games/updates/dlc) with devmenu (NO SX OS needed)

*Guide updated to be 100% offline&

A quick guide for whoever is interested. (GUIDE AND FILES FOR 5.1 ONLY!)

- Download the package.zip attached (credits to user blahblah and Kolunio)

- Extract all of its contents into the root of your SD Card

- Download Pokemon Quest .NSP and put it in X:\Tinfoil\nsp

- Download Devmenu (google is your friend)

- Place the 2 folders of the DevMenu (exefs and romfs) to X:\atmosphere\titles\01005D100807A000

- Boot your switch into RCM and inject the hekate payload (original or ctcaer should work I used the hekate_ctcaer one)

- Open album to go to HB menu and from there open Tinfoil.

- Install Pokemon Quest.

- Exit Tinfoil and HBmenu.

- Open Pokemon Quest and you are done!

If you have no idea how to install nsp files.

I installed Mario Odyssey with the lastest update and worked just fine!

PS: If you download nsp with too long filenames you might get an error when installing. Just rename to a short name and you will be good. Thanks to ali.ee for that info.

I tried to install a nsp dlc for Zelda but it doesn't show up in game?
I installed Zelda dlc nsp and opened the game, it then downloaded and installed the dlc (which i don't care if i get banned) and then as soon as the game booted it showed the new dlc that was added. Also, I am using Zelda cartridge & installed the dlc to internal storage (don't know if that matters or not)

Which DLC did you install exactly? Cause most of the game's DLC don't just show up instantly in game

Maybe both but at least 1 download wasn't specific accept it was dlc. I thought there would be a message or something, any way to tell?

There is. Most of the DLC appears in game as quests but iirc you need to at least play the game for a while before said quests unlock

I'll play more then story wise I've gotten passed the first divine beast. I'll keep playing then, thanks man. If nothing comes up after some more time in I'll end up just buying it.

Getting that myself with Pokemon Quest. It's either "Cancel" or "Update"

It doesn't give you the start option? That's very strange

By the way, where are you installing the updates/DLC? Memory card or system memory?

It isn't, no. That's what was originally stated in the tuto but it's wrong
there is no tinfoil folder in the root. Do we create one? also does the quest.nsp go in the tinfoil folder or we have to also create an nsp subfolder in the tinfoil folder? this is not very descriptive.

You can either make one yourself or when you launch tinfoil for the first time, it automatically creates the necessary folders in the root
