Some doubt, if anyone could help I apreeciate.
Factory reset is asking for connect to internet, the connection is only to unlink the user with eshop or it update too?
Not sure what you mean by update but it does unlink the user.
I decided to update my switch so I can have a standard no headache retail switch and plan to get one dedicated to homebrew. The SX Pro I ordered before deciding to do so already shipped though. Since I already have it should I just get whatever non-patched switch I can get my hands on or should I still aim for 3.0.0 firmware?
Aim for an unpatched Serial Number as firmware is largely irrelevant (save for firmware 6.2). You can find a list of those serial numbers
here.
Short question:
I just want to get some updates for my game backups
Is it safe to just use https://github.com/Bob123a1/CDNSP-GUI ?
CDN is dead.
Hello guys, i was buy nintendo switch a month ago with serial number XAJ700480 with FW 4.1.0. I can enter RCM mode, but after successfully inject payload it's still black screen. My unit is patched or i'm wrong step by step jailbreak??
Did you follow this
tutorial to see whether or not it was pathced?
Hey guys
I have a problem, but before we start I'd like to say that I was AWARE of what updating to 6.2.0 would entrail (no CFW etc.) when I used this guide here
https://gbatemp.net/threads/an-easy...ch-firmware-without-burning-any-fuses.511847/ to update my Switch to 6.2.0 without burning fuses. I'm running two different Nands, so it makes little difference to me that I cannot use CFW on 6.2.0. However, after successfully using the guide to update FW and enable AutoRCM and trying to boot into OFW with Hekate stock option, I get the error:
"Unknown Package1
<='version number'>
Failed to launch firmware"
Is this an issue with AutoRCM or is the boot issue because of the TSEC key in 6.2.0? (I can disable AutoRCM to try and test, but I'd rather want an explanation first before I attempt this).
And Yes, I HAVE a nand backup if it comes to that, but am hoping this won't require that.
EDIT: Just great, seems like even booting the switch with stock settings in hekate to prevent fuse burning cannot be done, thanks to the new TSEC Key. I should be able to boot it by disabling AutoRCM and do a normal boot, but that would burn the fuses:/
Yeah, Hekate and all of the other bootloader cannot launch CFW or OFW on firmware 6.2 due to being unable to decrypt the firmware prior to launching.
I found a post on reddit so i downgraded with my nand backup (6.1) and have autorcm enabled But i accidentally clicked to put switch in a sleep mode and can't turn it back on. I tried to hold the reset button for 20 s but in tegra there still says no rcm Thanks for your help
Hold power for 12 seconds then press power once. You may also need to restart your computer if its not detecting the Switch in RCM.
Hey is it worth not updating yet for the hacks? I didn't bother 3D printing the jig because it didn't have much exploit. I'm waiting for something like CW cheats to be able to mod/hack my own games or run CFW...?
Can we find something that enables us to continue to access the online store and functions while staying downgraded?
We have been able to do that for the past few months but you still need a jig or something else to put the Switch in RCM. If you don't want to print a jig, you can just buy one or use a paperclip/tinfoil/screwdrivers/anything that conducts metal instead.
As for your other question, I'm not sure if is even possible but given that we can update without burning fuses, there is little to no incentive on such a function.
Okay, so first off:
I use an "old" 2nd Switch (Before July2018) which i havent used before for homebrew + backuploading, i managed to backup all of my stuff (NAND, Serials..) and get into the Homebrew launcher + installed exFAT support.
i NEVER plan to go online with this switch because i figure my 2nd homebrew switch should only be used for offline stuff
Tbh the most important for me is to play Ultimate asap (I know about the brick versions and thats why i created a backup and stored it safely) and secondly i would also like to use emulators.
What would you recommend to do further? I always read to stay on 4.1.0, but with ultimate i would have to update to a higher version through ChoiDujourNX correct? And i would only have to use tinfoil to install it? Or do i need some kind of cfw? (amtosphere or reinx?)
Unimportant: Is there a way to automatically boot into cfw or RCM without an external hardware? I haven't found out how to do this yet and kinda don't understand why this is not possible (yet)
Unless you plan to play the game legitimately on your modded Switch, you would need CFW to play the game. And Smash needs a firmware of at least 5.1, last time I checked, so you will need to update if you plan to play it on that Switch. The best tool for updating is ChoiDujourNX as the latest firmware which is 6.2 breaks all CFW.
And for your second question, that all has to do with the current exploit. So far, hackers have only discovered a way to hack the Switch by putting it into RCM, which needs a jig or something conductive, then sending a payload via USB connection. What you're describing would require finding a new exploit which is extremely difficult given how solid the Switch is in terms of security so the chances of finding such an exploit are slim to none. The only other notable exploit is Deja Vu which works akin to the PS4 exploit where you load a webpage to run CFW/homebrew but it works on firmwares 4.1 and below.
Ho do I find a games titleid? I found a method using a phone, but I don't currently have one. I'm looking for Nidhogg II's Titleid
If you have the game dumped, you can use hactool to check the title ID.
Im only looking to save edit Lets Go Pika/Eevee, not the illegal pokemons, just completing pokedex. If I save editted and rebooted my switch which returns it to default mode, will I burn any fuse or get banned?
Fuses have nothing to do with what you want to do but any form of hacking can and will get you banned. Nintendo does not ban pirates, they ban people for violating their Terms of Service by "illegally" modding their consoles.
I'm 2.1.0 and able to start AMS 0.7.5.
But due to the fact that i don't have exFAT support, i can't use my 200GB micro-sd card which means, updating the FW without burning fuses is the next thing to do with ChoiDujourNX 1.0.1.
Is it ok to update to 6.1.0-4 for CFW or do i need to update to a lower FW first, because of the exFAT Support?
Thank you very much in advance!
exFAT support is separate from firmware. All firmware except 1.0 have exFAT support. As long as you don't update to 1.0 or 6.2, you can have exFAT support on any firmware.
