By the way i changed sd card and nothing changed.
Thank you.

I’m really new to the Nintendo Switch hacking scene (and hacking consoles in general) and I was wondering if I could get cfw on my switch without getting banned? I don’t wanna use pirated games or online cheats. Just some emulators and that’s probably it. Will that get me banned? I really don’t want to get banned but I wanna use cfw. I play smash bros with my friend a lot over the internet and getting banned on switch online is the last thing I want to happen.
Not a chance, at least not right now... Installation of any homebrew is going to end up with ban at some point. It might not be instant, but it will come. For people that don't want to play online in the near future, their best bet is to make a clean NAND backup before installation of CFW, install CFW, enjoy homebrew, and restore to clean NAND in the future when they want to play online - this shouldn't get you banned. But in your case this is not suitable as you want to be playing online simultaneously

Hi Guys

I been away from the scene for a while due to personal issues and can see a lot has changed since with SX Pro now on 2.5.1 version with Emunand.

I have been reading around for the last few days and trying to gather why someone would want to use emunand?

Am i right into thinking that if i setup SX Pro using Emunand i can then upgrade firmware to latest version using ChoiDujourNX to play games which require newer firmware? Will this not burn the fuses?

Currently on SX Pro v1.5 and switch version 4.1.0

Thanks

What is the best way to remove a .xci (game cartridge) from memory. I keep getting "please remove data after removing the game card". There is no game card (it's an .xci) to remove so it won't delete. Probably very simple but my thought patterns are stuck.

Hi, I have created Emunand with SX OS as hidden partition, should I delete things off the root of the sd like retroarch folder, or can things only be detected via logs? (I know we dont know everything but hazard a guess)

* EDIT*

I got it working!!
The Dongle's wire is defective

If anyone could help, I'm sure this has happened to others and I tried finding answers but nothing has worked so far.

I am using TX Pro and I never had any problems except for today. I added new games and when I go turn on my Switch (Vol up and power button) Nothing happens. I charged the TX Dongle for an hour and my Switch was on 100% when I powered it off. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Something weird's happening with my SD Card, some games I install immediately crash or freeze my Switch when I install them. All are downloaded from the same source (the dark site).

The game in question is World of Final Fantasy. It crashes my console once after saving my file and then it reported that a "save data was corrupted". I deleted the save and played it from beginning but it still happened anyway.

I formatted my SD Card yesterday (full overwrite using SDFormatter) and I think it still happens occasionally, what should I do? Should I try deleting tickets so the game doesn't corrupt for no reason?

The reason I think it's tickets is because there are some games I installed a year ago that still hasn't corrupted/crashed even once.
Make sure you are using the latest CFW of whatever you're using. Also deleting the ticket would make certain games unplayable because the ticket is needed to launch it. If its an .XCI convert, it won't have a ticket to delete however.

Just change your boot.dat to the one used 2.5.1

What is your current firmware? Which version of SX OS are you using?

EmuNAND has a few advantages. For one thing, it can let you enjoy the benefits of being on a higher firmware without updating SysNAND or dealing with AutoRCM. Another advantage is that EmuNAND can act as a sort of "ban prevention" tool. If you do all CFW and homebrew in EmuNAND but keep all legitimate online play in SysNAND, your chances of being banned reduce dramatically since SysNAND and EmuNAND don't share any information whatsoever. The last advantage of EmuNAND is that if EmuNAND gets bricked, it won't brick your SysNAND. The cons of course is that you will need the required space to install EmuNAND whether it be the internal memory or on the SD card. And of course, the only way to update EmuNAND is with ChoiDujourNX because updating online will flag the whole console for a ban, both SysNAND and EmuNAND.

Maybe try removing the data with Goldleaf? If that doesn't work or you don't want to try it, the only other option is a factory reset. Make sure you backup any save data and anything else you want to preserve before going that route.

You don't have to delete anything off of the SD card since there is no evidence that Nintendo scans the SD card.

OK thanks for the detailed explanation. So in my case, do i backup the saves (assuming i can do this), restore my backup before CFW and start fresh using emunand and hoprefully restore all my saves?

Would that be the right approach?

If you are planning on going online with SysNAND and have a clean NAND dump that was made before hacking, you should do exactly that. If you don't have any homebrew save managers, you can use either EdiZon or Checkpoint to dump and restore the save files.

Evening guys,

My SX Pro (finally) arrived today and i was wondering about the prep i need to take before installing Sx os?

Serial: XAJ70007152453
Firmware: 5.1.0

I am not that interested in online play right now but i wouldnt mind taking legitmate games online at some point where do i stand with this?

Should i be creating a clean back up of my NAND before using SX Pro?

I am planning on using ChoiDujourNX to update my system so as i dont burn my fuses, my question with this is as it enables AutoRCM do i then skip enabling AutoRCM using the SX Pro as it would already be done?

Any other information people believe to be useful would be really appreciated as well.

Thanks in advance

Is there any way to run the Homebrew Menu somewhere like News? Or after I install the .nsp, is it possible to disable it from News / Album?

Also, if I run a homebrew app through the HBM .nsp, it would be able to fully use the (roughly) 3.2 GB of RAM, right? So would this make those apps perform better or does it depend on the app?

First thing anyone should do when hacking a console is backup the NAND. The whole purpose of a NAND backup is to recover from a brick and if something were to happen while you were setting up CFW for the first time, what would you do without a NAND backup?

Is there any way to run the Homebrew Menu somewhere like News? Or after I install the .nsp, is it possible to disable it from News / Album?

You can't run the redirect from News since its just an applet. But if you install homebrew menu as a .NSP file, it will be saved on your Home Menu so you can launch it without going into the Album. Alternatively, if you just want to access the Album while Homebrew Menu is replacing it, you usually hold R when pressing the Album (or another button if you changed the configuration).

Anyway if you choose to install it as a .NSP file, any homebrew applications launched from their will make full usage of the RAM.

Firmware and date of purchase have no role to play in whether or not you can enter RCM because RCM is a hardware feature of the console meaning firmware is absolutely irrelevant and even patched consoles can enter RCM hence why we know they are patched (because they are unable to accept a payload in RCM).

To enter RCM, you would need to ground pin 10. This can be done by bridging it to pins 1, 7, or 9 since they all act as ground. Jigs are hard to adjust so you just might need to enter RCM with something else like a paperclip, sim card removal tool, safety pin, or tinfoil.

Also there is definitely no reason for you to bump your post a mere 20 minutes after you posted it.
